Citigroup Saw No Red Flags Even as It Made Bolder Bets

try to get past the rep/dem crap-----can't you see the trouble it's got us into? How does Bin Laden feel about zionists btw ?

Zionist? He obviously hates them.

I know that people believe what they want to believe and the truth be damned, but take a look at history:

Bin Laden, a wealthy Saudi, works with the CIA to support and lead the Mujadeen. (If the CIA didn't have a relationship with Bin Laden, then they weren't doing their job).

Saddam Hussien, a long time U.S. ally and bulkward against Iran, threatens Saudi Arabias borders, so we have the Persian Gulf war.

The Bush family becomes coinvestors with the Bin Laden family in the Carlisle group.

A couple of planeloads of Saudis, under Bin Laden's orders, crash into the World Trade Center & Pentagon. Pres. Bush's first priority is to insure that Saudi royals get out of the U.S. safely.

Pres. Bush is FORCED to invade Afganistan, but Bin Laden magically escapes despite the 'best' efforts of the U.S. The U.S. effort in Afganistan focuses on the destruction of the Taliban and ignores Bin Laden & Al Queda.

Hussein continues to be a threat to Saudi Arabia, so the U.S. invades Iraq, destroying Sunni domination of Iraq, but refuses to allow a democratically elected governement to take power until the Saudi backed Sunnis are allowed to dominate once again.

Now, a Saudi Prince invests heavily in Citibank while it's stock is at a super low point. So the U.S. Treasury, run by Bush appointees, immediately guarantees $300 billion in bad investments and gives them $20 billion to boot.

Any of these may be arguable individually, but the pattern is to much to argue against.

Yes, Al Queda, the Saudi's, the Republican insiders, the bankers, the European royalty and a whole host of others are all working in concert against the single most powerful paradigm of the past century: the American middle class.

It is equality and human rights that they hate. Once the American middle class is destroyed the old world order can be reinstated.

And you can omit Jewish bankers without skipping a beat--amazing.

You said Zionists, not Jewish bankers. The Saudis have never given more than lip service to the to the anti-Israeli sentiment. They get along very well with Jewish bankers.

Each and every one of the world's elite has their own power base consisting of 'commoners', they have a pecking order amongst themselves based on power and wealth, and they do vie against one another, sometimes in the name of their constituents, but more often using their conflicts to gain more power in their constituencies. The 'commoners' being pawns.

The idea of egalitarianism is new to the human race. The royalty fought against it with every drop of every mercenary's blood they could afford.

People don't change that fast. Though few would admit it publically, most people (not just the power elite) believe in inequality. Almost everybody believes that they are 'better' than everyone else. It's instinctual.

A rigidly enforced socio-economic heirarchial society is as natural to the human race as a pack is to a dog.

Most people suffer from an incredible 'superiority complex'. It takes a very strong will of the 'commoners' to keep reminding people that they are not superior.

Lip service and billions upon billions of dollars !

Lip service and billions upon billions of dollars !

In the world of international conflicts, billions upon billions of dollars is just lip service.

If the Saudis were really against Isreal they would not participate in the western banking system - they would (and could) establish their own. They'd shut the spickets down.

Politics make strange bed fellows and world finances even stranger, but you can be sure that each and every one of them, for whatever they may claim to represent, is more focused on consolidaing their own personal wealth and power - at the expense of the common people - then they are with anything else.

there--ty for finally speaking of Israel and the "western" banking system in the same sentence. Now who all is consolidating their personal wealth off the backs of the common man ?

If the Jewish controlled Western banking system was so at odds with the Saudis, why have they continued to let them exist?

Surely, they have had the power in the last 50 years to convince the U.S. to use it's military might to destroy the most anti-American nation on earth.

Religion also has it's strange bedfellows.

Which is exactly Bin Ladens beef !
