In St Paul's time, the church lived among a pagan culture and the church was told by the Apostles of the church to separate themselves from the pagan culture around them.

2Corinthians, 6:14-18
The Temple of the Living God
14 "Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 What accord has Christ with Be′lial? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,
“I will live in them and move among them,
and I will be their God,
and they shall be my people.
17 Therefore come out from them,
and be separate from them, says the Lord,
and touch nothing unclean;
then I will welcome you,
18 and I will be a father to you,
and you shall be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.”

Our society in the West has returned to paganism and the most vile and disgusted things are celebrated now as 'love' or simply a form of entertainment, and so St. Paul's old command to us returns to effect.

We must culturally separate ourselves from the paganism we live in. It should be shunned and we must quarantine ourselves and our families from the spiritual disease that is engulfing this once admirable civilization.

Paul seems to directly contradict the practices and beliefs of Jesus who was known to party with sinners and prostitutes, hated tax gatherers, and was criticized for keeping company with all sorts of bad characters.... according to scripture.

How do you resolve this?

Follow Jesus or follow the benjaminite pharisee Paul, and we will know you by your fruits.

How do you resolve this?

I resolve by pointing out that your concept of how Christ conducted himself is erroneous, because He didn't 'party' with sinners; He admonished them then fellowshipped with those who REPENTED.

And you are not a Christian, so why the fuck are you even on this thread?

Fascinating.

Follow Jesus or follow the benjaminite pharisee Paul, and we will know you by your fruits.

St Paul was an apostle appointed by Christ. Anyone who says he was not is a heretic and not an orthodox Christian.

It is truly astonishing that you pagans cannot help yourselves, but rush uninvited into every discussion, and every situation to spew your bile.

This thread is directed to CHRISTIANS, not 'Gnostic' bigots like you Starkey.

If the bible timeline is to be believed...Jesus was dead before Paul "saw the light". How can he be appointed by him?

Lol, you are such an idiot.

'Cussing' is not something forbidden in the Bible. It is an English speaking shibboleth based on the Victorian era's Norman aristocracy looking down on English based words as 'vulgar' and 'unworthy' of a gentlemans speech.

It is all ethnocentric bullshit.

And once again a heathen jumps into a thread not directed to them.

How do you have any valid part in this discussion? Go troll somewhere else.

JB is a pretend xtian, so not to worry.

JB, I am a born in the blood Christian, not a gnostic.

Don't use terms you don't understand; it reveals your shallowness.

If you reject St Paul you are subscribing to a tradition of being opposed to St Paul which is gnostic in origin and nature.

And the gnostics were just the same condescending asses that you are now, thinking that they could displace an apostle of the church.

Paganism is epic and beautiful and... free. Its culture is awesome, there is so much room for us to personalize it, and the euphoria we feel when the Sabbats come around... you have to experience it to understand it.

And there is so much respect for the Earth and all things celestial...

jb, you are far right social con reactionary completely out of touch with the meaning of Jesus' love and mercy and forgiveness. Please do not posture as a modern day Pharisee who shineth on the outside yet stinketh spiritually on the inside. Being condescending and unaware are major characteristics of your type.

If the Bible is to be believed St Paul did meet Jesus, you ignorant pervert.

You are wrong. When the Pharisees asked Jesus why he was partying with sinners and prostitutes and giving them a hard time he said "The healthy have no need for a doctor" which contrary to your confusion shows that Jesus didn't think the people rejected and despised by the pharisees were sick or needed to repent.

And I am on this thread because I enjoy squeezing your head and because someone watching may learn something and realized how sick you are and discover the cause of your disease when that same old foul and smelly pus comes out..

In your pagan opinion for which I do not give a flying fart.

Your reply clearly marks your spiritual boundary of modern day Phariseeism.

I am going to church so I won't be able to respond for a while.

Jesus called people to repentance and those who repented He associated with and said that they were His true family.

He did not accept people who were unrepentant. His remark about the unhealthy was a jibe at the Pharisees egoism, because all of us need Jesus to forgive and heal us from the influence of pagans like you.

Yes, you think that Christianity is 'old foul and smelly pus' I have no doubt.

But you are like the trolls that go to any thread or any forum they can and disrupt the discussion there simply because you are a rude, ignorant and arrogant bastard.

You are doing nothing more than trying to derail this thread.
