Right now the question applies to the Crimea, but that's nowhere the limits on China's questioning. In the past, questions of this nature would have been decided according to America's power and America's power to convince the rest of the world.

But now that the balance of power is shifting, there appears to be a question of legitimacy being raised by China, that isn't a foregone conclusion.

In any case, Russia will have to be defeated before it can ever lose the Crimea. It's too militarily strategic in importance to Russia to allow otherwise.

The question then becomes, whether the bulk of world opinion see it Russia's way.

Cool

Does that mean we get to question Chinas claims to Taiwan?
I don't see that as a question that China needs to entertain right now. China now wields the power to turn it all around and try the same tactics with Cuba or any of the cooperative S.American countries.

China is still not in a hurry on account of China believing that Taiwan's people will soon choose China over America's promise of war.

And Tibet.
And H.K?

America should soon come to the understanding that China doesn't GAF what America thinks.

It's like America starting about 40 different wars throughout the world since the end of WW2, just doesn't count!!

You ckskrs actually think that the rest of the world is going to hang their grievance hats on Tibet??

And especially now that the dallying Llama got caught sucking children's tongues??

Perhaps the old Soviet republics don't GAF what China thinks about their sovereignty?
