Childhood cancer survivor wonders why trump wants to her and those like her

trump just cannot let it go. He is determined to place as much pain as possible on those that do not deserve to be punished. He is once again screaming "repeal and replace" when we all know that he has no plan to do anything. trump is not only hurting himself, he is hurting the entire repub party in his quest to kill a successful health insurance program which now enrolls over 40 million people.
You know you can edit your thread title so at least that makes sense even if your post does not.

Remember when Obama said ACA was going to cut healthcare spending in the US by $2T over ten years? Most of us knew that standing up a new federal bureaucracy was only going to add cost and corruption opportunities.

It definitely cut it by significantly more than $2 trillion. Health care spending today is at least 4 percentage points of GDP below where the pre-ACA cost growth trends would’ve put it. (In fact health care costs the exact same percentage of GDP today that it did 15 years ago, which is totally unprecedented—we’ve never frozen the relative growth of health care spending for a decade and a half, not even close).

That’s worth more than $1 trillion in savings this year alone. Now add up 15 years worth of cumulative savings.

You don't know how to read a trend chart, do you?

“Numbers go up over time,” while a very astute observation, misses the point that excess health care cost growth since 2010 has been zero. Saving us trillions and trillions of dollars over that period. It’s not really disputable that the ACA has delivered far more savings than promised (and indeed more than anyone a decade and a half ago even imagined was possible).

The ACA was written by insurance companies, and Obama sold it to you because he knows you're dumb enough to fall for it.
