Child Labor laws undermine parental rights, diminish work ethic, raise taxes and hurt our economy.

It wasn't businesses or the government encouraging children to work. It was their parents. If some guy and his wife want to make their kids work after school at a very young age, that is a family issue and none of my business.

If we could repeal child labor laws, it would reduce poverty and less taxes would be needed as the children's wages would help their families. We would also require fewer imports and trade deficits would be a thing of the past.

Additionally, kids would develop a better work ethic and could start learning a trade on the job after school. They could use that trade skill and work experience as a back up plan if college isn't what they want. The whole family could work sun up to sun down like the good old days and we could be the manufacturing center of the world again.
