The egg came first! They discovered a protein that helps create the egg shell. An egg doesn't require a shell to be an egg. Since we all evolved from single cell organisms, it seems obvioius that the single cell egg came first. If the chicken came first, where did it come from? It had to come from an egg, ergo, the egg was first.
Creatures were laying eggs long before chickens manifested in the record
Perhaps a better question for this disucssion of evolution is this:
Which came first --the chicken or the chickenshit?
Wait, is it not possible that the chicken inherited the protein from an earlier egg-bearing ancestor that is now extinct?Chicken Came Before the Egg: "Scientific Proof" - CBS News

It got here the same way humans and animals, it was created.

JUst fro you we'll restate the question, "Which came first, X that can't come without Y, or Y that can't come without X?"

Where did that earlier egg bearing ancestor get the protein?

Where did that earlier egg bearing ancestor get the protein?
Most likely, it was a mutation, which either spread through genetic drift or conveyed some advantage to those creatures bearing it.
It is possible that it was actually one of the earliest proteins to ever develop, rather than a mutation as we understand the term, and that all other species lost it, rather than the species in question gaining it, but that is far less likely.

Nonetheless, the chicken came before the egg, unless you can point to evidence that says otherwise. If all you have is conjecture and supposition, you loose.
The question is, and always has been, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"
Regardless of recent scientific revelations, the answer is, and always has been, the egg.
Dinosaurs were laying eggs long before chickens made their appearance on the planet.

The hilarity of you posting conjecture and declaring it fact then claiming someone else who has made no assertions regarding which came first only has conjecture...
You level of stupidity is astounding.
