This should be a fairly simple and indisputable statistic for the Census Bureau to compile. There are tons of stats on Conviction Status, whether they are weekend release, whether they are awaiting conviction and on and on. But nothing on the very important stat on percentage of inmates that are not US Citizens. So we are left to get these numbers from partisan sources all with an axe to grind. What do you think? Should this be a statistic reported in the Annual Survey of Jails?
