"The president who came into office speaking in lofty terms about bipartisanship and cooperation can only cement his legacy if he destroys the GOP. If he wants to transform American politics, he must go for the throat."

So astonishingly wrote CBS News political director John Dickerson at Slate Friday evening in a piece astonishingly titled "Go for the Throat! Why if he wants to transform American politics, Obama must declare war on the Republican Party."

Dickerson is no longer interested in Obama trying bipartisanship in his second term - as if that's what the President did in his first.

"Obama’s only remaining option is to pulverize," Dickerson wrote. "Whether he succeeds in passing legislation or not, given his ambitions, his goal should be to delegitimize his opponents. Through a series of clarifying fights over controversial issues, he can force Republicans to either side with their coalition's most extreme elements or cause a rift in the party that will leave it, at least temporarily, in disarray."

Did I mention this man was the political director for CBS News?

They attacked public workers and vilified them some govs even insinuated they were the cause of the the debt.
They attacked seniors with medicare and social security...then went after everyone else all the while demanding more tax cuts for the rich <ryans first two plans>
Then there was the total circus of the republican primary...GOP doesnt have to worry about Obama, they have to worry about the far right extreme element of the party that give the full impression they are of the rich and only for the rich.

After awhile you cant get enough voters to win anything beause the cheating doesnt provide NEW voters.


It merely spans the gap if you are close.


Now the republican party has courted an idiot low information base and used cheating to span the gap.


The gap is too wide now and only going to get wider.

Their cheating cant be done in the dark anymore because the internets shine the light on it.


People will NOT just be fooled into staning in line for 11 hours to vote in CERTAIN parts of the state anymore.

The entire country now KNOWS that it is ONLY becuase the republican party wants them to HAVE to stand in line ot vote in hopes they wont vote.
