Canada shows our future: 10 dead, 15 injured.

True. Every issue of Concealed Carry magazine has numerous nationwide accounts of good guy with a gun incidents.

And the reason it's not news is because it happens so often. The root word of news is "new." There is nothing new about armed citizens protecting themselves, others, or stopping a crime.

Really?
I doubt that.

How in the fuck does someone automatically know a person has a concealed weapon?

If anyone's is, it's yours, you can't even follow your own post.

No, they make the news.

A would-be robber discovered that a pizza delivery guy in Douglas, Georgia, was packing more than just pies last week.
Antavious McTear, who was armed with a pipe, approached Gary Royer while he was out on a delivery and threatened him. But when Royer reacted by pulling out a gun, McTear changed his tune and sped away in his car.
Authorities later caught up with McTear, who was subsequently arrested and booked into the Coffee County jail.

MESQUITE, Texas - A Dominos delivery driver who came face to face with a gun during a robbery last weekend said he’s thankful to be alive but is sad that one of the teens died.

Two teenagers tried to rob David Gerber at gunpoint as he delivered a pizza in Mesquite on Saturday night. One teen fired a warning shot at Gerber, but he was armed too and fired back and killed one of the would-be robbers.

An
Ohio pizza delivery driver allegedly shot and killed an attempted armed robber Sunday evening with a concealed carry weapon, WBTN reported.

Two armed men wearing face masks entered a Papa John’s in New Carlisle in a robbery attempt after 11 p.m., according to WBTN. An unidentified pizza delivery employee shot and killed one of the robbers, 21-year-old Gage Melton, with a firearm while the other suspect escaped the scene, according to the outlet.

Like I said, on a slow news day. But other than that, it happens more often than reported by the media.

If all the guy had was a knife -- the 93827 cops that was there wouldn't have been as afraid to confront him...
It's almost like they feel an AR-15 is more deadly than a knife...

Given the history of mass murderers avoiding places where people are armed, it's likely he wouldn't have chosen that school in the first place.

79% of all homicides in the US in 2020 involved a firearm.

Knives are nowhere close.

The majority of victims of gun murder are criminals, living in democrat party controlled cities.....

Meanwhile, Americans use their legal guns 1.1 million times a year to stop rapes, robberies, murders, stabbings, beatings, kidnappings, and even mass public shootings.

Care to address that fact?

Lives saved....based on research? By law abiding gun owners using guns to stop criminals?

The survey further finds that approximately a third of gun owners (31.1%) have used a firearm to defend themselves or their property, often on more than one occasion, and it estimates that guns are used defensively by firearms owners in approximately 1.67 million incidents per year. Handguns are the most common firearm employed for self-defense (used in 65.9% of defensive incidents), and in most defensive incidents (81.9%) no shot was fired. Approximately a quarter (25.2%) of defensive incidents occurred within the gun owner's home, and approximately half (53.9%) occurred outside their home, but on their property. About one out of ten (9.1%) defensive gun uses occurred in public, and about one out of twenty (4.8%) occurred at work.

Applying those restrictions leaves 19 NSPOF respondents (0.8 percent of the sample), representing 1.5 million defensive users. This estimate is directly comparable to the well-known estimate of Kleck and Gertz, shown in the last column of exhibit 7. While the NSPOF estimate is smaller, it is statistically plausible that the difference is due to sampling error. Inclusion of multiple DGUs reported by half of the 19 NSPOF respondents increases the estimate to 4.7 million DGUs.

n the third column of Table 6.2, we apply the Kleck and Gertz (1995) criteria for "genuine" DGUs (type A), leaving us with just 19 respondents. They represent 1.5 million defensive users. This estimate is directly comparable to the well-known Kleck and Gertz estimate of 2.5 million, shown in the last

As shown in Table 6.6, the defender fired his or her gun in 27 percent of these incidents (combined "fire warning shots" and "fire at perpetrator" percentages, though some respondents reported firing both warning shots and airning at the perpetrator). Forty percent of these were "warning shots," and about a third were aimed at the perpetrator but missed. The perpetrator was wounded by the crime victim in eight percent of all DGUs. In nine percent of DGUs the victim captured and held the perpetrator at gunpoint until the police could arrive.
