A Conversation With Independent Presidential Candidate Evan McMullin

Twelfth Amendment to the United States Constitution - Wikipedia
If no candidate for President has a majority of the total votes, the House of Representatives, voting by states and with the same quorum requirements as under the original procedure, chooses the President. The Twelfth Amendment requires the House to choose from the three highest receivers of electoral votes, compared to five under the original procedure.

If no candidate for Vice President has a majority of the total votes, the Senate, with each Senator having one vote, chooses the Vice President. The Twelfth Amendment requires the Senate to choose between the candidates with the "two highest numbers" of electoral votes. If multiple individuals are tied for second place, the Senate may consider all of them, in addition to the individual with the greatest number of votes

so if neither candidate reaches 270 then the House can choose someone else :mm:

I had a mcmuffin this morning....it sucked.

Can you write Madam President?

The chances of one of the Candidate no acquiring the amount of EC votes to win is slim to none and slim left town with none...

I will wager you that it will not happen and if it does then you will get one full page apology and me admitting the retardation I am suffering from is more severe than first thought...

2020 is four years from now so back Rand Paul and get the bitch out of office or the Trump Chumps can nominate Alec Baldwin and repeat this last election by running another shill for Hillary!

If McMullin takes Utah, then, yes, a House run off is possible.

Utah is 6 electoral votes. It's in the column of trump right now.

If trump doesn't get utah those 6 votes won't matter.

If trump gets those 6 votes it still won't matter.

If those six votes go to McMullin, and neither of the other two get 269, oh, yes, Dana, it will matter very much.

Only if someone else got at least 1 EV. If it's just the two and they tie, they're the only ones the House can consider.

Mcmullin is set to win six ev in Utah if his momentum continues. I think there is a good chance of that since the last two polls have him neck and neck with trump. And he still doesn't have high recognition. He is getting it thought. And a limited government conservative vs two progressive candidates in Utah? No contest.

Question is can the fire spread in the next three weeks? Possibly but six may be enough since both Clinton and Trump are getting hit hard with scandals

Actually they moved it to close to call because trump and mcmullin are within 1%
