Sounds good. Text books are damned expensive (unless at a book fair, then they can be very cheap).

I remember that that was the only rhetoric the governator had when he ran for governor of California: "Give the children book!" I hope the people of California make good use of their free books.

Hopefully, they focus on books that are important.
    1# math books
    2# writing books
    3# Science books
    4# history
    5# economics

For the community college system cover all their basic books from beginning math to calculus.

It's 2012, a ll schools should have digital books. College textbooks are a scam. They change a few words here or there and presto! you have to buy a new textbook at a ridiculous cost, can't resell your old book (outdated) and the school bookstore offers pennies on the dollar.

Wish my youngest (sophomore in hs) had digital books .... she lugs around quite a hefty load everyday, her locker is on the opposite side of the building, no time to get to it between classes. Dumb.
