Bye Bye Oil Price

*from the energy industry, which only cares about maximizing its profit

I don't care.
/----/ Guess who makes more on a gallon of gasoline. After crude oil costs, gasoline taxes are the second largest contributor to the price paid at the pump. Together Federal and State excise taxes on fuel account for an average cost of approximately 62 cents per gallon. That’s a combined tax of about 20% per gallon of gas.

because it wouldn't work because the republicans would just explode the deficit again like they always do.
/----/ Where's the democRATs' balanced budget? Who fought the Republicans on the last budget when the GOP wanted to cut wasteful spending?

What a absurd way of looking at it.

Taxes are not "profit". They pay for things that for profit companies will not do. The aren't shot into space or put in someone's pocket.

And the criticism of Biden oil policies is a cheap con that apparently has fooled you. Oil companies are not producing to capacity now, and thousands of approved drilling permits are collecting dust.

What they want is to snatch up future mineral rights. And Biden stands in the way of their cash grab. So they dictate bullshit talking points to bribed politicians and right wing media dipshits.

And then we see it all regurgitated here.

Trumps policies aren't "America first."

He wasn't putting America first when he assaulted our 2A, when he increased the debt ceiling twice and suspended it for two years. When he funded gender studies in Afghanistan and Pakistan. When he shoved the covid shot in our faces and allowed Fauci to initiate the lock downs.
He damn sure wasn't putting America first when he go US, Saudi and Mexican oil companies to DECREASE oil production.

Yeah, he was. You're just too stupid to realize it. Trump went up against a corrupt group that has been working decades to subvert the COTUS.

Trump did nothing that attacked it.

the facts and truth hrts, either republicans can admit and accept they bankrupted America, or they will keep on exploding the deficit
Let us know when you eventually bring in truth. Your truth is only yours

/---/ Government takes in 6 times what the oil companies make in profit. $4 gas yields 10 cents in profit. And it isn't absurd. It's how I point out the disparity of taxes and profit.
How much more are you going to tax the oil companies? At some point, they will just stop making gasoline if there is little or no profit in it.

Now you are being stubborn

Everyone would be under the same rules
republicans would never abide by it

also running the government and deficits are more complicated than you realize, when the republicans blow up the economy like they do every single time they control the WH, that results in a tax revenue short fall and fall out and the possible need for stimulus like in 2008 when Bush signed trillions of relief and bail out bills etc

(then Obama inherited the Bush shit show blow up and bush deficit explosion)

DUMP! DUMP! DUMP!

Oil is tanking down to $75, and might drop to $74 !!!

Go USA !!!
Go joe !!!
Great job on energy !

/——/ Funny thing is the White House doesn’t control the spending. Congress does. And the Governors shut down their economies and decided how strict and for how long.

not true

the white house signs off on every single penny and they have final say on every single penny... go look up what a veto is.

Bush and Trump signed off on every single penny of the massive deficit. Trump's signature is literally on trillions in debt and deficit increases.

Profits isn't the same as taxes. Taxes are collected and spent on things like road construction and other things. Profits are just that.
The government is $33 trillion in debt. So where their profits?

These TrumpCumDumps don't care about facts or anything that proves Trump was a RINO. FFS, he assaulted the 2A and they said nothing. He let Hillary go without his special prosecution, and they said nothing. He gave $500 billion to black communities just for being black, and they said nothing. He endorsed McCarthy for speaker and McDaniel's for RNC chair person, and they said nothing.

He could kill their wives and they'd help him bury the body.

IF the GOP ever starts supporting fiscal conservatism again, I'll rejoin their party. But until then, they're dead to me.

nope I want the republicans to stop exploding the deficit
the democrats have proven they know how to lower deficits because they have done it repeatedly. republicans have never lowered the deficit.
The only times that happens is when a pragmatic democrat president is dealing with a hostile Republican Congress.

Trump did nothing that attacked it.

Trumps biggest problems his first two years were the fiscal conservatives, blocking his "Obamacare on steroids" bill. They objected to his reauthorization of FISA 702 (warrantless spying on Americans). They objected to his first spending bill of $1.4 trillion.

That kind of crap, like supporting warrantless spying on Americans, isn't "America first." It's big government first.

FFS, Trump had Thomas Massie primaried. Thomas Massie. One of the most fiscally and constitutionally conservatives in DC. He had him primaried because he simply requested ask for a recorded vote on the UNCONSTITUTIONAL NDAA reauthorization.

Trump's a fucking RINO, dude. Regardless of what he says, his sale pitch is, or what his minions say, Trump is nothing more than a big spending, big government, north eastern democrat with a great line of BS. (That you fell for)

The government is $33 trillion in debt. So were their profits?
/——/ Geeze I can’t dumb it down anymore for you. You think 10 cents a gallon is too much but 60 cents is fine and dandy.

What a crock of shit. Biden has strangled our businesses while begging the Arabs for oil. He is sucking our reserve dry at a time when we could actually go to war.
The US is producing more oil than ever. That's an indisputable fact. Unlike Trump, though, Biden doesn't crow about it on Twitter. Maybe he should.

We are more energy independent than ever, too. Again, Biden doesn't crow about it.

So we could replenish the SPR very quickly if need be. But Biden is doing the intelligent thing by selling the oil when the price is high. Then he can buy it back when oil is low.

Profits!

Smart.

Fuck that "fossil fuels cause global warming" bullshit, amirite?
