Breitbart, Fox and Their Rush To Judgement

Anyone else find it funny that this is the second time the admin has had to apologize for a rush to judgement in a race issue in less than two years? (ie. Cambridge police)

Personally I think it's fucking hilarious.

The rush to judgenment by the NAACP and the administration was a mistake. They both admitted the mistake and are trying to rectify it.

The main issue is the deception of a conservative blogger and the use of the deception by FOX news which was a bigger mistake.
Neithe the blogger or FOX are admitting a mistake. They are making excuses on why it was not a mistake.

I want to align myself with people who admit their mistakes and rectify them rather than to try and make their mistakes right.

We all make mistakes.

I don't think Abraham Lincoln would be too excited with someone of your mind set aligning yourself with him.

Putting aside Hannity, whoi admits on a daily basis that he is right wing Reagan Conservative commentator and not a news reporter....

Fox News covered a story about an administration appointee who was suddenly forced to resign due to a film that was criculating that showed her to have racial tendencies. They did NOT report on the film. They reported on her sudden resignation and the allegations against her.

As I said earlier. Did you expect NBC news to first do an intense investigation into whether OJ simpson actually killed his wife when they reported that he was arrested for allegedly killing is wife? NBC news did not report that he killed his wife. They reported that he was arrested and accused of killing his wife.

Fox did not report she was a racist. They reported that she was forced to resign based on allegations and a film implying that she was a racists.

It is not rocket science. Fox did nothing wrong.

If we are divisive, it's because we let ourselves get caught up in petty squables instead of uniting together.

Let's stop blaming other people and just start living the principles we want to see in them in ourselves. We need to take responsibility for our own lives and help those around us. If we dont prepare ourselves, we will see carnage that is unimaginable.

We would like to. But when the president and his administration continually puts out press releases and beer summits and "acted stupidly" satatements and apologies for forced resignations, etc...it is pretty hard to ignore it.

So you let his stupidity dictate how you act with others?

True!.....It's this current administration who continually plays the race card. Continually tries to divide the haves and the have nots. Continually tries to divide the rich from the poor.

Fact is, this administration villifies the successful. Villifies the hard working who believe in personal responsibility. Villifies those who understand that big government is a recipe for disaster. Villifies those who simply want our laws enforced as written. Villifies states and political leaders who are simply acting on what their constituents expect from them (Arizona is the perfect example). And on and on and on......It's a friggin' joke.

Exactly. How many have they thrown under the bus now when they became political liabilities? You can't tell me that it was because of their views or extremism, because the Administration keeps appointing more and more of those types.

Breitbart and Fox both erred by not requiring the whole speech before jumping to a logical conclusion. However logical it was, it was the wrong conclusion in that case and both have fully acknowledged that and both have given plenty of prominent time and space to correcting their error. It is unlikely that either will make such a mistake again.

Neither, however, have any power over who gets hired or who gets fired anywhere other than within their own organizations. However much duty they had to get the story right, the consequences of the Administration not getting it right hurt the lady, not Fox or Breitbart. They fired her on the road, without talking to her or giving her any chance to speak on her own behalf. If they had not done that, she could have told them to get the rest of the speech and the whole sordid thing never would have happened.

In fact, had they done that, they could have corrected the error before Fox and Breitbart found out about the error, and made Fox and Breitbart look much worse.
