Update!

From the US Embassy in Russia:

Do not travel to Russia due to the unpredictable consequences of the unprovoked full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces, the potential for harassment and the singling out of U.S. citizens for detention by Russian government security officials, the arbitrary enforcement of local law, limited flights into and out of Russia, the Embassy’s limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in Russia, and the possibility of terrorism. U.S. citizens residing or travelling in Russia should depart immediately. Exercise increased caution due to the risk of wrongful detentions.

Security Alert for U.S. Citizens in Russia
U.S. Embassy Moscow, Russia (September 27, 2022)

Event: On September 21, the Russian government began a mobilization of its citizens to the armed forces in support of its invasion of Ukraine. Russia may refuse to acknowledge dual nationals’ U.S. citizenship, deny their access to U.S. consular assistance, prevent their departure from Russia, and conscript dual nationals for military service.

Commercial flight options are extremely limited at present and are often unavailable on short notice. Overland routes by car and bus are still open. If you wish to depart Russia, you should make independent arrangements as soon as possible. The U.S. Embassy has severe limitations on its ability to assist U.S. citizens, and conditions, including transportation options, may suddenly become even more limited.

U.S. citizens should not travel to Russia and those residing or travelling in Russia should depart Russia immediately while limited commercial travel options remain.

But this current one is because ours guys think the Ruskies are getting desperate enough to start taking US citizens hostage, btw.

That's not the point of this. The point is they are expecting some sort of escalation of the problem we apparently are unaware of yet.

Uh oh! What's the Usurper up to now?

Edit Update! Looks like a full blown war is about to happen. They don't want Americans in Russia in case they're rounded up and detained as prisoners.

It's the smart thing to do.....they don't want to end up like Brianna.

Most Muricans aren't so fucking stupid as to try to smuggle drugs across international borders.

Play stupid fuck-up games, win stupid fuck-up prizes.
Obviously what she did was stupid.

The penalty for what she did was also excessive.

Why am I not surprised? Biden sticks his nose into a regional conflict that the US has no national interest or treaty obligations to enter. Then they are surprised that the participant that they oppose by proxy takes retaliatory steps. Only Biden would get involved in this shit. What was that I saw in another thread today? Fuck around and find out? WW3 right around the corner. Thanks Brandon.

It was pretty clear that there would be backlash from Nato countries over the news that America destroyed Nordstream. This could be America's attempt to defuse that with force that steps over the line on mutually agreed upon limitations of the war.

But no, neither side is going to start a full blown war. Russia no longer has any need for that. Mearsheimer, Ritter, and other experts on the war are assuring us of that now.
