Nevadas Democratic attorney general, Catherine Cortez Masto, is moving forward with a criminal prosecution of ACORN even though the financially anemic group has dissolved its national structure and reportedly slashed its workforce from 250 to four employees. Trial has been scheduled for Nov. 29.
The charges relate to ACORNs crime of choice: voter registration fraud.
Ohio did that a long time ago with ACORN, given they were registering Mary Poppins.
ACORN allegedly enforced voter registration quotas with its employees and offered bonuses for extra registrations. Nevada law forbids the use of such incentives on the theory it encourages canvassers to file fraudulent registrations. No wonder: ACORN and its election fraud subsidiary Project Vote, which used to employ President Obama, registers Mickey Mouse and various celebrities, out-of-state residents, and dead people, every election cycle.
If ACORN is convicted it would send shock waves through leftist organizing circles across the nation and might embolden more prosecutors to take on ACORN and similar groups. Until it was charged by Nevada last year, ACORN had boasted about its ability to duck prosecution for election fraud.
Breaking: Nevada To Press On With Criminal Prosecution of ACORN - Big Government
Ohio used to be rife with voter fraud (and I'm sure it still is given how Obama won in Ohio). I once watched as Democrats led a bus full of mentally handicapped people into my voting location to vote. ACORN was registering everyone from Mary Poppins to Mickey Mouse, and Democrats were fighting to allow provisional voting.
Provisional voting means you don't have to prove where you live. Your registration supposedly got lost in the mail and you can vote anyway and then they try to find your address later (yeah right) And with Democrats controlling that job, just how honest is that going to be.
Thanks to Ken Blackwell they lost that one. We know have to show our driver's license or some form of ID to vote.
Looks like Nevada is looking to clean up their act like the battle of Ohio in 2004.
Way to go Nevada. This is going to just make Liberals go nuts. They can't win with an honest vote. Just as the dead who voted for JFK.
