Boehner is taking command

Here in Ohio, a Rethug named Ney, who went to jail for taking bribes from Abramhoff, has written a book and he RIPS John Boehner big time. Now this is a criminal Rethug ripping a big Rethug. Love it.

Guess not everybody loves the Tan Man.

They're basically working toward being a non-factor, and they are succeeding in that.

The Republicans will make a come back in 2014 because the voters will realize the democrats and Obama are trying to spend their way out of the recession they caused and it will destroy the US.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight....

Newsflash Giggles: Bush isn't the President and hasn't been President for 4 years.

Boehner is taking command

No he's not.

He's doing what he always does - what he's told.

Medicare pays for itself, operates well within its budget and actually delivers its product. Granted the R will wreck that if they can but don't look to Boehner for leadership.

For one thing, that would mean he has to be sober and off the golf course. Never happen.

But we'll be paying off his wild spending spree for a couple more generations.

While you rw's are bragging about how the R wants to live within budget, you might want to remember that they voted to "charge it".

Boehner has been a House member since 1990 – 23 years

McConnell has been a Senator since 1984 –29 years

President Obama has been President since 2009 – 4 years

If Speaker Boehner and Minority Leader McConnell are so darn unhappy with our runaway debt, they’ve had DECADES to do something about it.

Meanwhile, President Obama HAS done something about it and CUT the deficit by $300 billion and is the smallest government spender since Eisenhower.

Just think what he could accomplish if the damn Big Spending GObP/R would get the fuck out of the way.

After seeing the victory in spending cuts caused by sequester John Boehner is setting Republican's sights on one of the biggest wastes of federal dollars. Medicare has been bleeding this country for decades and now the Republican will begin to dismantle this costly and wasteful program. By making the government live within its means the Republicans will prove they are what this country needs and will win easily in 2014 and 2016.

60 Minutes: Big Pharma wrote the Medicare prescription drug bill

“I’ve been in politics for 22 years and it was the ugliest night I have ever seen in 22 years,” says Jones of efforts by Republican Congressional leaders to persuade defecting Republicans to vote for one of the most expensive bills ever before the House. “The pharmaceutical lobbyists wrote the bill,” says Jones, who, with Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.), was among those defectors.

When they tallied votes, there were not enough to pass it, so the vote was kept open for longer than normal. “They’re supposed to have 15 minutes to leave the voting machines open and it was open for almost three hours,” says Burton.

“The votes were there to defeat the bill for two hours and 45 minutes and we had leaders going around … trying to twist [defecting Republicans'] arms to get them to change their votes,” says Burton.

“It was horrible,” Jones tells [Steve] Kroft. “We had a good friend from Michigan, Nick Smith (formerly R-Mich.) and they threatened to work against his son who wanted to run for his seat when he retired,” recalls Jones. “I saw… a member of the House, a lady, crying when they came around her, trying to get her to change her vote.”

The bill passed, extending limited prescription drug coverage under Medicare to 41 million Americans.

The GOP has a knack for forgetting their own bullshit.

Well said.

Where were these filthy god damned nutball scum when Reagan tripled the debt shadow boxing a bankrupt empire still farming with horses in sight of nuclear power plants?

Again in 2004 these degenerate assholes re elected a halfwit inheritor who was already a catastrophic failure. The boy went on to be the biggest peacetime spender ever, surpassing his hero NeoCon Ron.

One of the great ironies in history is that the nutball filth that re elected Junebug in 2004 also elected their current Lord and Master, President Barack Obama. Had the best candidate won in2004, there might never have been a president Obama. That is laugh out loud hilarious and justice on a scale that isn't often seen.

Ronald Reagan was the greatest President this country has ever known. I don't know what liberal propaganda you are trying to pass off here but President Reagan saved this country from the disasterous economy left over from Carter and save the world from the Soviets.

Obama was more successful reversing a disastrous economy

Reagan did not bring down the Soviets......they did that on their own

That is one of the great comic posts in internet history. Anyone who can read my post and then write what you wrote has a future in noir comedy about the human condition.

Thank you.

If John McCain Had been elected in 2008 this country would have stayed the course set by Presidents Reagan and Bush and Bush and we would not be in the economic crisis we are now. The democrats with their tax and spend government have put our country trillions of dollars in debt that will take generations to repay if it can be repaid at all. By 2014 the American voters will see their mistake on electing Obama and the Republicans will once again set things straight. We just need to hang on until then we can fix everything the liberals have wrecked.

He can talk all he wants but I don't think anything will happen here.
Speaker Dr. Boehner is not only concerned for the good of the American people, he knows that watchdogging out-of-control spending is the belweather of this nation's future.

Kudos, Speaker Dr. Boehner. Bite those wasteful spenders on the butt! :D

Based on the quality of your economic analysis it seems appropriate to hazard a guess that you are a native Georgian, aka, the reason only about 20% of the people in Atlanta - about the % Atlantians whose Georgia ancestry tracks back three generations - ever go past the city limits, and then only in day time.

My point is it doesn't appear the quality of economic analysis has improved in Georgia a whole lot since the 1850s. Perhaps the only thing Georgia ever led America in was the decline in quality of public education?

Your thoughts on that?
