It's a "free country" (or used to be). The problem comes when government disregards the 1st Amendment and forces (at the ultimate point of a gun) Americans to adhere to certain restrictions in free speech because of a political agenda. Lefties won the "right" to desecrate Old Glory but they want to put you in jail for laughing at a man in a dress.
