'Blood makes the grass grow' and other lies they told you in the military

Are you trying to say that blood isn't a fertilizer? Have you checked with the garden shop?

Sunlight, water, and nitrogen makes grass grow. Not blood.

What is the ballad of the blade = Kill - Kill - Kill.

What makes the grass grow = Blood - Blood - Blood.

Some of us whom were in the Military had Drill Sergeants and Drill Instructors whom served in Combat units during the Vietnam War. We learned what was in the training manual and then some.

The whole idea of "Boot Camp" is to rid a civilian of their attitude, laziness, demeanor and even the eay they walk. To make them Military machines for Uncle Sam. Also, to give them the appearance and demeanor to present in front of a civilian population.

Go to a major airport and watch men and women in uniform walk around. The male or female will be upfront and straight with a positive and ticked off look on their face. People whom have been in the Military some time, and have some rank on their shoulder will walk around smiling and being personable to others. Us whom served can tell.

The person whom recently just got out of "Boot Camp" will go to the airport diner and eat a five course meal in about 5 minutes or less, because that is all the time you get in Boot Camp, AND THEIR is absolutely no talking in the chow hall. Some one whom has been in for awhile sets at the Airport diner and takes their time with their food, takes their fork and fluffs their salad, sips their water instead of gulps it, taking 20 minutes to eat a meal.

Soldering ( Army ) is no easy task. To be able to have the privilege to wear the Military Uniform is no easy task, that is why we take imposters seriously. A piece of Schit wears a uniform with ribbons, awards and rank and never spent one day in "Boot Camp". Me having been proper service, I understand the ire of someone being a Military imposter. They deserve a ole fashion butt kickin. Early morinng rise at 4 am - 4:30 be on the deck and perform Physical Training = Calenstics, Grass drills, Circuit training, Pushups , set ups ; them go on a 4 or 5 mile run. Come back and shower - clean the barracks and clean the showers - eat breakfast....and then start a full day that if you are lucky ends by 8 or 9 o'clock. You don't get a full nights sleep - because you have fire guard ( Security checks - Brasso the large galvanized trash can in the hallway - shine boots : That was back in my day ).

Early to rise, late to bed. mounds upon mounds of physical training and testing, as well as academics that you have to learn in a very short time. Perform Physical Training and Academics to standard, or get out of the Military...they will not let you graduate - It is that simple. Your colleagues and fellow Soldiers are supposed to be able to depend and rely upon you. Cold - rainy - wind blowing and you have to get the two cans of ammo to a machine gun position 1200 yards away, you cannot say "The hell with it, I quit." If you do, the two Soldiers at the Machine Gun position get killed because they ran out of ammo - because you failed your mission. You failed to be dependable, you failed to be reliable and you let your fellow Soldiers down. They got killed......because of your actions and neglect. back in "The Day" ; Soldiers got "Fragged" for that kind of stuff.

If you have an attitude problem, or a disciplinary problem - YOU GET discharged. The Military does not want you getting someone killed because you failed to follow orders or have a attitude / disciplinary problem.
