Big oil is still in a pickle..

Big oil teeters between enemy and ally in climate fight

The new flashpoint in the climate change debate is over the role of oil companies — whether they're culprits, allies, or something of a frenemy.

Why it matters: The burning of fossil fuels these companies produce is a big reason Earth’s temperature is rising, yet their products are also foundations of the global economy. Whether you love or hate them, what role these companies play is inherent to addressing climate change, particularly in the absence of presidential leadership on the issue.

Bullshit... another dumbass who thinks the earth is only 120 plus years old for one and for two it's been rising before fossil fuel/ oil..

That human GHG emissions are the primary cause of the warming seen over the last 150 years is simply an established fact. That the world has gone through large changes in the past is irrelevant because human culture has not.

The fossil fuel industries (petroleum, coal, natural gas) cannot be tolerated for the indefinite future. For one thing, they will run out of raw materials in the foreseeable future. The world must move away from a fossil-fuel industrial base as quickly as possible. That does NOT mean instantly. The rise of alternative energy sources for homes, industries and transportation is the path of our cultural salvation. It is a road that needs to be followed.

Must be fake data to be so amusing. Anyway, no worries, the mouth breathers will breathe through their mouths...

Another thread proudly proclaiming the merits of a banner! We've been hearing this same narrative for 25 years and what has changed?

DICK

NOBODY is caring in the real world and the evidence is staggering! What I find fascinating is, despite not being able to make any inroads in the fight against climate change the message never changes. Look at the posts above. It's the same exact tired crap these people have been postulating about for decades. For Christsakes, we've still never seen climate change as a topic in a presidential debate:eusa_dance::eusa_dance::fu:

Ya know s0ns....time for Plan B!:flirtysmile4:

Who can't see these same bozos posting up the same, "But the science says...." banner stuff 10 years from now? And solar power will STILL be at laughably low output levels. And the bozos will still be proud of their banner!:2up::backpedal:

Oh. Well obviously that means it doesn't exist. After all, who can forget the scintillating presidential debate on the hole in the Ozone layer? Jesus, the mouth breathers are swarming with their weaponised stupidity.

Exxon: The Road Not Taken

The story spans four decades, and is based on primary sources including internal company files dating back to the late 1970s, interviews with former company employees, and other evidence, much of which is being published here for the first time.

It describes how Exxon conducted cutting-edge climate research decades ago and then, without revealing all that it had learned, worked at the forefront of climate denial, manufacturing doubt about the scientific consensus that its own scientists had confirmed.

C'mon now...…...the climate k00ks have been demonizing the oil companies for 30 years. Nobody is caring. But knock yourself out s0n!!:backpedal:

Nibblin' on sponge cake,
watchin' the sun bake;
All those deniers addicted to oil
Sucking the CO , and Big oil BS
Tempers in Congress begining to boil

Wasted away in the Oilocracy
Claiming all alt energy shill gain
Same folks claim middle east is insane
But I know my addiction ain't changed

Some think it's treason, Redfords lost reason
With all his tar sands spillage ado
I liked him as sundance, so i gave him a chance
But wonder if he's got the slightest of clues.

Wasted away again in Oilocracy,
Searchin' through those kocktopus vaults.
Some people claim them cannuck pipelines ashame
But I know..... it's my SUV's fault.

I love when they flip flop,
and claim we're all on top
Tell us the troops will be coming back home.
But there's crude in the pipeline,
And soon it will refine
That dark brown concoction that helps me drive on.

Wasted away again in Oilocracy,
Listening to them oilman explain
Some people claim climate change is their blame
But I know ......it's all just a game
Yes i know..... it's all just a game

w/apologies to parrotheads everywhere

Global Temperature

Warmists sure love PISS Temp, since it has been adjusted many times to make it warmer than it really is, heck notice the vanished well known cooling trend from the 1940's to the 1970's?

It used to be around.5C cooler now it is .1C warmer.

But even then that crappy chart STILL destroys the AGW conjecture anyway, since it show a .18C/decade rate which well below the MINIMUM .30C/decade rate projected as stated in the IPCC report that are based on emission scenarios which are based on the AGW conjecture.

So, who has been falsifying temperature data?
erlaa6825f2

All of them, with GISS leading the way, but if you use the RAW data from the NOAA the chart would look different.

Meanwhile just for America, the change is obvious by PISSTemp:

What makes you think the raw data is more accurate? You guys can't make up your minds. One day you claim that global warming is an artifact of UHI - of using the raw data. The next you claim its the opposite.

There are thousands of scientists worldwide that have a professional interest in the accuracy of those data. If it were being deceitfully modified, you and your fellow nutjobs wouldn't be the only ones complaining about it. But they don't. Even scientists like Judith Curry and Roy Spencer defend the adjustments being made to those temperature records.

Idiot. As has always been the case, your argument boils down to the insane charge that every one of the world's active climate scientists are engaged in a perfect conspiracy to somehow get rich from research grants that barely fund the research to be done.

Idiot.
