Canadas police state lead by nepotism and the kakistocracy associated with these creepy police agencies are all worried that maybe Canadians will wake up. We are already an insult to liberty, ambition and talent, now America is focusing even harder on competition will will speed up our inevitable demise. Canada will surely be out of the G7 within 25 years.

I warned them long ago. At least the creepy covert TPS, OPP RCMP et al will remain well fed at the trough!

As for the rest of Canada and our future, mmmm, not so much...

OTTAWA — Industry groups are warning that a recent push by President Joe Biden to stoke more competition in the U.S. market could put Canada at a strategic disadvantage, potentially even hampering Canada’s economic recovery coming out of the pandemic.

Biden on July 9 signed a sweeping executive order aimed at limiting corporate dominance and encouraging more competitive policies across a range of industries, including ocean shipping, health care, transportation and technology. The order didn’t present a specific mandate, but instead calls on U.S. agencies to adopt policies that would limit corporate consolidation and cleave open the more monopolistic corners of the market.

If successful, observers say the policy could go a long way toward creating a more equitable playing field for small businesses and limiting the powers of big companies, including tech giants Google and Apple.

Similar worries about a lack of competition have persisted in Canada in the agriculture, mining, chemicals and retail sectors, including for small businesses more generally. Of particular concern is Canada’s railway duopoly, shared between Canadian National (CN) and Canadian Pacific (CP). But the issue spans any number of industries from telecoms to agriculture.

Competition is Biden's bright idea. Why not Gore invented the Internet.

Well Canada still hasn't figured it out 150 years later. We are still quite heavy on "monarchy" with all the hanger-ons and well paid predators that exploit it.

Tell Trudeau to open the borders to American tourism and that will go a long way to increase the country's bottom line. His moronic lockdowns to all but the vaxxed is going to hurt the country more than Biden ever could. Biden is a joke.
