Biden said him and Obama were clueless about Bengazi

For anyone who likes to read this article is informative. So many people have know idea what they are talking about but are sure there is a Democrat to blame around here somewhere and that is all that matters to them.

NYT: Benghazi attacks had no private security backup - The New York Times - TODAY.com
Many diplomats rankle at the constraints imposed on them by security officials, who demand that they travel around foreign capitals in heavily armored convoys that local civilians find insulting and that make it nearly impossible for the envoys to meet discreetly with foreign officials. Many American diplomats have also grown deeply frustrated by the constraints imposed on them by working in the new, highly secure embassies that have been constructed around the world over the past decade.

How do you think anything in that article excuses this administration?

Don't take this personally or anything but you're a dumb ass, actually you should probably take that personally.

So you couldn't find anything in that article that excused the administration either huh? Look. You can reduce yourself to a grade school mentality and name call all you like but that doesn't lessen Obama's and his administrations failure in this. Libya was supposed to be a foreign policy achievement for Obama and he was so busy playing celebrity that he failed to keep up with what was going on. The article you posted is another effort by media to try to mitigate the damage to this administration from this.

The Government Accountability Institute, a new conservative investigative research organization, examined President Obama’s schedule from the day he took office until mid-June 2012, to see how often he attended his Presidential Daily Brief (PDB) — the meeting at which he is briefed on the most critical intelligence threats to the country. During his first 1,225 days in office, Obama attended his PDB just 536 times — or 43.8 percent of the time. During 2011 and the first half of 2012, his attendance became even less frequent — falling to just over 38 percent. By contrast, Obama’s predecessor, George W. Bush almost never missed his daily intelligence meeting.

Marc Thiessen: Why is Obama skipping more than half of his daily intelligence meetings? - The Washington Post

And asa result, during Bush we experienceced 9/11, white powder mailed to congressmen, shoe bombers, etc. Nobody is perfect and all actions by humans are not 100% forseable
Did Bush try to cover those up. Did Bush lie to the American people about these. NO but Obama did. He lied and lied and had his posy lie saying it was this stupid video for over a week even though they knew it was terrorist with in the first 24 hours. Also he is lying about Al Qaeda saying we have them on their hills , when in reality they are gaining in numbers.. So yeah not the same

Obama has to rely on the reports coming from the field. This administration and the military are not strongly centralized and rigid. Those in command of areas are the ones reporting to the president or his aides, cabinet, etc., Obama was not in benghazi nor was biden, so they have to no idea what is really going on. It would be impossible for one or two men to run the entire US of A empire alone.

You can continue to make excuses for Obama, but they're not credible. Once that consulate was attacked, Obama should have immediately turned his full attention into finding our what happened. We had embassies under assault all over the Middle East and what was Obama's response? He went to Vegas.

He's not the one that does the finding out. What difference does it matter where he was? When they find out, he gets informed.

Skipping 60% of your briefings will do that.

We need a president who actually wants to be president.

Horse shit. Who skipped 60% of his briefings? You have some authority on that? Obama "wants to be president." He has done his best to get us out of the huge hole that eight years of Republican mishandling of government got us into. That's a tough job for anyone. So what do we do now - elect another damn Republican so the same old shit can start all over again? I don't think so.

Vote Democratic in November. You'll feel much better about yourself.

If this is the best he can do, he needs to find another line of work. If he would just get out of the way, the economy would improve on its own.

Not to mention that the lying bastard has been attempting to cover up the embarassment of the attack on our consulate in Libya.

When a consulate is under attack by terrorists, you can bet your bottom dollar that the President is notified. The State Department was in constant contact with those people, from the time the attack started, and they had a drone overhead for a good deal of it.

The idea that the State Department did not give the President the real facts surrounding the attack is either a lie or gross incompetence. He chose to lie, and attempted to keep that lie alive for as long as possible. His main concern was his own reelection, and that makes him unfit for the presidency.

He knew, they HAVE to tell him.

Thats why this is such bullshit.

This kid is in over his head, Obama is the worst President in modern history.

Apparently he didn't get informed. Maybe he'd have learned something and at least been on the same page as "intelligence", had he attended the intel briefing instead of going to Vegas for a fundraising trip.

If he went to even one briefing then there's no excuse for not knowing. Biden's answer signaled the incompetence of the current regime.

Any of you bone heads have a motive for saying that it was a mob attack rather than an organized attack. Perhaps they were trying to buy time to find out more about who was responsible. There are many unknowns involved here. Anyone have any comments on the republican congress witch hunt that is stepping on the toes of ongoing investigations and managed to out a CIA team in the process?

I was listening to something somewhere and the way it was explained was that the PDB has traditionally been printed for the president to read. Because Bush did not like to read he started having the PDB presented to him rather than having the report printed out.

You were listening to DNC propaganda. The reason for the briefing to be face to face is for the President to ask questions and get real time answers.

Obviously, those briefings outlined the threats in Libya, and that would have been a good time for a real president to ask if our security at the consulate was adequate to protect the people there. If the CIA didn't know, then a quick phone call to Hillary would have been a good idea.

Going beyond the screw-up over adequate security, the President and his people lied to the American people about the attack, and kept that lie alive for as long as they could. He is unfit to be the President.

Maybe we should bomb some random country, worked for Bush.

If Bush go reelected running on 9/11 and Romney gets elected running on the consulate attack what are we going to get for Romney's reelection campaign? Blowing up half of Indiana?

Congrats on that spin. Well done! I bet you're just foaming at the possibility of devolving this to a Bush v Clinton issue with no bearing on Obama. To that, I say nay. The current regime is incompetent. I have no desire to live in the past. That's not how life works.

He already knew the information, and he made the decision to foster a lie. The State Department did not take that upon themselves.

They didn't need additional information, they had real time information from the people in the consulate and the safe house. They knew there was no demonstration, and they knew it was a coordinated terrorist attack on both localities.

Why do you continually attempt to excuse this asshole for lying about it?

It looks like the confusion you are having is because this WH doesn't know what the hell is going on.

I find it amazing that Biden is telling us they will get to the bottom of this and who is responsible. Isn't this the administration that took all the credit for killing Osama, yet when they screw up, they are all about finding others to blame.

I guess we don't know where the buck stops with this President, but somehow it will wind up blaming Bush.

Is President Obama ‘Skipping’ Intelligence Briefings? - ABC News
While his predecessor might have preferred an oral daily briefing, Obama religiously reads a written version of the same prepared material, often on a secure iPad (as seen in this official White House PHOTO). He often receives an in-person briefing in addition, aides note, as well as real-time national security updates during the day, both in the office and on the road.

“He does both all the time, all the time,” White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters today. “And when he is here in Washington, he has briefings in person in the Oval Office with his national security team regularly. And when he is on the road, he has phone conversations that supplement and augment the briefings he receives on paper that are specific to the so-called PDB. I hardly think that is different from previous presidents.”

Aides say there is no evidence to suggest an in-person briefing is any more or less efficient or effective than the president’s consuming the material electronically or in print.

“The quarters from which that criticism comes are pretty clear, and who occupies those quarters is pretty clear,” Carney said of Obama’s critics on the right. “This president is absolutely responsible and voracious consumer of the presidential daily briefing and of the information provided to him by his national security team.

Bottom line, you take credit for the success, you take responsibility for the failures.

Time for this administration man up, it's time for someone to step up and be responsible. Since we know it won't be Obama and Biden, who is going to man up, who is the one with the kahunas?

I have no desire to live in the past either and the fact that both Romney and Ryan have no foreign policy experience, have been adding Bush admin personal to their transition team, and are backed by the neocons leads me to believe if Romney gets elected we will most likely have another 9/11 before his first term is over.

The only thing you did was find a favorable source, there are many that don't attempt to spin this and don't support your contentions.

Obama knew what was going on, he KNEW that mre security had been requested and he made a conscios decision to not give it to him.

He knew the same day and yet he sent his minions out for a week trying to spin a different tal.

What exactly was the failure here? Is it solely that you think the administration was trying to cover up a terrorist attack as a mob attack? For how long did they hope the 'cover up' to last? Past November 6th? Seriously?

Your concept of a deliberate 'cover up' is illogical. What purpose would it serve? Or is the 'failure' something else.

The only damage that has been caused since the attack is the republican committee outing a CIA team. Does that bother you at all?
