Worst POTUS ever, taking the lead over Øbam and Carter. A true dipshit.

It cannot be emphasized enough that the withdrawal from Afghanistan being executed by the Biden administration was based upon explicit assurances from the president that it would not be a rerun of the American humiliation and defeat in Vietnam.

President Biden, speaking July 8:

Q: Mr. President, some Vietnamese veterans see echoes of their experience in this withdrawal in Afghanistan. Do you see any parallels between this withdrawal and what happened in Vietnam, with some people feeling —
THE PRESIDENT: None whatsoever. Zero. What you had is — you had entire brigades breaking through the gates of our embassy — six, if I’m not mistaken.
The Taliban is not the south — the North Vietnamese army. They’re not — they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability. There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of a embassy in the — of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable.

Biden also said that day, “the likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely.”

Today, the headline over on the Politico Playbook newsletter is “Joe Biden’s ‘fall of Saigon’.” The Financial Times declares, “Joe Biden’s credibility has been shredded in Afghanistan.” NBC News reports, “Potential Al Qaeda resurgence in Afghanistan worries U.S. officials.” Everything that Biden insisted wasn’t going to happen… is happening.

Biden could have said, “we’re going to leave Afghanistan, the Taliban is likely to take over, the world will have an epic humanitarian disaster on its hands, and Islamist fundamentalism will have its greatest propaganda victory since the formulation of the Islamic State.” But if Biden had discussed the likely consequences of his decision with clear-eyed realism and blunt honesty, maybe the American public wouldn’t have been such big fans of what the president wanted to do regarding Afghanistan.

Drumpf would have had them withdrawn by May.

"It could happen, but it is tough," he said. "The fact is that, that was not a very solidly negotiated deal that (Trump) ... worked out." The president said that even if the U.S. did not meet the May 1 deadline, U.S. troops would not be in Afghanistan for much longer.

The argument could be made that if he saw the Taliban doing what they are doing now, he would immediately bomb the shit outta everything and make them fight tooth and nail, instead of walking into the cities like Biden is letting them do right now.

more wisdom from rosie------AFGHANISTAN IS LOST. historically Afghanistan was---
ONCE UPON A TIME...... a land of culture and refinement. KABUL was a famous city
with colleges, hindu, buddhist etc Temples -----and lots of actual scholars

I agree but not for the reasons you believe. I believe he would have used it as a reason to declare martial law which you would have gleefully went along with.

Rather the withdrawl was done under Trump or Biden a Democrat President or a Republican President the consquences of it were predictable. The only surprisng thing about what is happening in Afghanistan is that some people are actually surprised by it.

We had no damn business getting mired in that damn hell hole in the first place..get over it. If the Afghans didn't want to be ruled by the Taliban they would have kicked them out long ago. We could stay there another 20 years and guess what would happen once we left in 2041...exactly..the same thing that's happening now. We are just the latest 'empire' to learn that. I pity the next one that tries to 'nation build' there.

I hope they do and then they attack America and kill a shitload of these America hating, race blaming, pussified wimp dipshits and the rest alive learn the lesson we need to be strong and not just sit around and cry about everyone's feelings all the time while their glitter eyeliner runs.

There is one issue though. The Middle East Dream of a Caliphate combining many of those nations. But it is incredible how they love to terrorize and kill in some areas over there.

Irrelevant. Afghanistan was lost on Joe’s watch. This what happens when a female groping, life-long do nothing, clueless old man and an affirmative action, blow job giving, woke woman are elected into office by butt hurt, ignorant voters offended by tweets.

Biden already had to rush 3,000 troops back into Afghanistan to prevent the fall of our embassy there.

Anything you want to say about a no planning, short sighted senile buffoon in the White House would be
fair game, considering how Joe Biden is fucking up our withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Are you sorry yet you stole the last election for Joe?

Back to the mindless wars. Why are nObama and Corrupt Joe so obsessed with Afghanistan? Oh, but they don't mind kissing the ass of Iran, while giving them millions for unjustified reasons. Meanwhile... Iran still has their rockets pointed at us. Let's prepare to mindlessly lose troops for no cause.
