Just found this site about 10 minutes ago, so this is my first ever post. My apologies if there is already an existing thread going over these same topics/arguments.

Looking for someone to help me understand what makes both the Biden selection as nominee and his selection of Harris as VP either logical or appealing. The way I see it, and maybe I'm giving them far too much credit, but the Democratic Party is probably smarter than many of us are as members of the general public. At least, they should be. This fact makes me wonder why they would choose Joe Biden as the presidential nominee when he clearly is not the most well-rounded possibility. Through the far-too excessive amount of verbal gaffes, 47 years in government with relatively little to show for it, and the highly controversial 1994 crime bill that he wrote, I am led to believe that the DNC is relying on name recognition alone to win the upcoming election. I mean, the only Democrat with a bigger name than Biden is Barrack Obama, who is obviously ineligible to run. And then, as if Biden running wasn't enough of a head-scratcher already, he picks Kamala Harris as his running mate. This is problematic for numerous reasons.
First of all, they are labeling Harris as a so-called "moderate" despite the fact that nothing that she stands for is moderate. She was quite literally labeled as the #1 most liberal senator. On top of this, as they rely heavily on the Black vote to win this election, the media seems to ignore the fact that it was literally Joe Biden's bill that paved the way for the mass-incarceration problem that Democrats are always vocal on. As millions of Black Americans spend their days in cages for non-violent marijuana possession charges, Kamala laughed about having smoked marijuana (keep in mind, she locked up thousands for these exact same charges while serving as California's Attorney General). If mass incarceration is such a problem to Dems and Dem voters, why would they vote for the man who literally made the laws and a woman who enforced them? To me, this seems to be hypocrisy at its absolute finest. I have said since Biden's selection of Harris as VP that it would be much like the Bush-Cheney administration (though in my opinion, far more detrimental to the well-being of Americans) where the case can be made for the VP being more involved than the President. I fully believe that it would be more of a Harris-Biden administration (hence the title) and they both might've confirmed these thoughts in the last couple of days as each of them labeled it as "the Harris-Biden administration."
On top of all of this, I believe that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would truly be the "trojan horse" for socialism. If they were to win being the so-called "moderates" that they so clearly are not, they would be heavily influenced by the radical views of Bernie Sanders, a self-proclaimed socialist, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and various other radical-left members of Congress..
I truly, with all of my heart, believe that the Biden-Harris/Harris-Biden administration would be the most detrimental to core American values, traditions, and the well-being of American citizens in all of presidential history.
Also, I do find it exceedingly humorous that the party who hates rich, old white men and cops is fully prepared and willing to vote for a rich, old white man and a cop.
Props to you if you read the whole thing, I know it was long. Thank you and let me know your thoughts regarding the matter.

Welcome aboard.

I disagree and will vote for Harris-Biden/Biden-Harris without reservation. Trump is a cancer. Any doctor will tell you that you have to get rid of the cancer before you can heal the body.

I believe that, to those capable of critical-thinking, there were several valid points in my post. Far too many to simply reply with "I disagree". To which part do you disagree? I challenge you to explain your reasoning for voting Biden in November without mentioning Donald Trump.
Also, if Joe Biden is to kill the cancer that Trump supposedly is, it wouldn't only be that that's killed. It's like when someone actually does succumb to cancer. Yes, the cancer is technically dead, but so is the whole damn body.

Again, welcome aboard.

If the spotted owl party had a candidate who had a real shot at winning, I'd be voting for whomever that is. The only other person who has a shot at winning the Presidency is Joe Biden so therefore he has my vote.

Getting rid of the cancer (Trump) is paramount before we can begin the recovery process. By that I mean, rebuilding the alliances with our allies, stop the trade war which has hurt American consumers, get the kids out of permanent internment, restore some normalcy to the governing process, stop cheering vigilantes, encourage education, stop calling the media the "enemy of the people", give tax cuts to those who actually need them....

Repairing the damage done in the last 4 years will be a multi-administration process. Hopefully recovery begins 11/4/20.

I personally think the blob will win a 2nd term. But...ask anyone...I've been wrong before.

How about you stipulate what your opinion is based on?

I think democrats should be incensed at the fact that their primary votes have been usurped. Kommie Harris was soundly rejected, Biden was just as soundly nominated (though I have no idea why) and now his VP choice, the rejected Harris, has been placed at the top of the ticket.
The ultimate bait-and-switch.
Doesn’t matter. Both are equally horrible for this country and democrats are the epitome of mindless sheep. They do whatever keeps them in the fold.

Edit: grammatical errors
Harris has already let it slip out in a number of instances in which she thinks that she is the Ticket headliner. Which leads anyone with any ability to think at all to believe they intended to remove Biden at their earliest opportunity should he actually get elected; which is a pretty long shot given Biden's mental decline.

Trump is not a good conservative, but he is a far cry better than ANYONE the Democrats have, in their entire party.
