Once I went on a cruise along all the countries along the European river... sights were lovely....people were sweet....everything was yum....loved it

But I ended up sick as a dog.

No more cruises for moi.

I prefer to go to a wood forest or area .... far away from human beings....just with my loving man....or with my good loving friends...who like silence and peace.

I've been on a dozen or so cruises...Holland America, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, Viking (both river and ocean).

My favorite cruises have been European river cruises, but I think ALL cruise lines are excellent at what they do. Choose a cruise line based on (a) Itinerary, (b) features that you want on the ship, and (c) price. Many cruises and lines cater to specific demographics, so be aware of that. Viking has no kids and is 90% American retirees.

Does the ship have...

• high-end restaurants that you would want to utilize?
• a fitness center?
• swimming pools?
• kids/teens entertainment facilities?
• a casino?
• a spa?
• a shopping mall?
• a large stage for Las Vegas-type nightly shows?

How big is the ship? 200 passengers up to 8,000. What would you be comfortable with?

Look closely to determine the cost of a cruise that you are considering. Does the fare include...

• transfers to and from the airport?
• soft drinks, beer, and/or wine?
• any excursions (Viking includes a basic excursion at all ports)?
• airfare?
• "tips" for the staff?

In my opinion, Vacations to Go is the best website to find the cruise that you want.

I’d like to do one of those river cruises. I was booked to go along the Danube to Budapest, till Covid and lockdown hit.

I’ve never done one of those ocean cruises. On board with 2,000 people sounds too much for me.

I met a lady once, who told me about her Mississippi River cruise. It sounded very nice.
