The Lies, Clichés, and Hypocrisy of Bernie Sanders.

There is something seriously disconcerting about the sight of the leading declared Democrat presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, embracing the most imperishable charlatan in American political history, the supposedly reverend Al Sharpton. This most improbable clergyman, although he is only 64, is so worn down by what Dr. Johnson called the “disingenuousness of years,” he now looks like an ambulatory waxwork dummy. He has been exposed countless times for scams, falsehoods, and incitements to violence. Of all prominent African-Americans, only Louis Farrakhan is more odious.

Now that Sanders is the front-runner, with the possible exception of Joe (Hamlet) Biden, it is time to start taking a closer look at him. I’ve always been curious why he would have worked for a time on a Stalinist Kibbutz after the 20th Communist Party Congress where Stalin’s infamies and atrocities were publicly denounced by Nikita Khrushchev. Sanders apparently was a renegade Communist as a youth, regarding Khrushchev as a mealy-mouthed compromiser. It was eccentric that he spent his honeymoon in Moscow, but that, I suppose, is the business of no one but the then-newlyweds.

Our country has seemed benignly incurious about a man running officially as a socialist with a broad Brooklyn accent and hailing from Vermont. To see Bernie Sanders and listen to him for a few minutes, it is clear that there is a story to his career that is likely to be unusual and interesting. For young people, he seems to hold that odd attraction of elderly Marxists that Herbert Marcuse had for glamorous youthful acolytes in the 1960s such as Joan Baez and Angela Davis.

Bernie hates the kind of capitalism that buys politicians, fucks their employees and does things like hiking insulin prices beyond affordability. It is a mystery to me why conservatives like that sort of thing.

Yeah, what Constitutionalists stand against is any return to an over-powering central government as our nation was founded as a rebellion against a tyrannical Monarchy. It seems to us that Socialism is the rule over the people by a much smaller oligarchy and we reject all forms of Oligarchy

Now, I'm sure you see our Freedom as apparent only and that we are already ruled by a Corporate Oligarchy, but here is the difference as we see it, as long as our transactions with corporations are voluntary, our freedom and Liberty is preserved.

But, the problem you describe is very real as well, Tocqueville’s Dilemma:

But it would not fully counter the dynamic that concerned him unless it also somehow brought into existence the “genuine association” that he thought was necessary for true freedom. The more pessimistic second volume of Democracy in America presses us to worry, however, that a state powerful and centralized enough to effectively regulate the industrial economy would also, by virtue of its power and centralization, crowd out the local politics most conducive to the arts of association.

Federalism was the Founders’ attempt to balance local politics with a national government, but progressivism tipped the balance far in Washington’s favor, and seeks to tip it even further.

So, while you point to a real problem, we view it as as least partially of Progressive's making.

Here's a key point. You guys always attack profit-making but the examples you use are generally rent-seeking. They are two very different things. Constitutionalists embrace profit-making and detest rent-seeking. We could join forces against rent-seeking.

No one says they do but your alternative is single payer which is the V.A. system which mean four hour waits to see a doctor while being told you might have that life saving surgery in six months if the Government approves it.

Trump didn't beat Hillary in the debates. It's amazing she didn't trounce him. She thought he was hanging himself. Who knew it didn't matter what he said or did for so many Americans. He seemed like an outsider and said all the right things. Well most of what he said he didn't do and/or he lied. They'll get to call him on all that. They better do a good job.

Trump is a horrible human being. We need the best candidate who will be able to exploit that the most.
