Yes, this should be in the politics section. The global warming issue has nothing to do with science or the environment.

George Orwell devised the word ‘unperson’ to describe someone who had so offended official thought, he or she was vaporised — not just liquidated but wiped from the record for eternity.

That way the unperson couldn’t set a bad example.

All memory of the impertinence would be forgotten, Comrades!
Orwell was satirising Stalin’s Russia, where such practices were all too common.

When a Politburo member called Nikolai Yezhov, People’s Commissar for Water Transport, fell out of favour with Joseph Stalin in 1940, he was not just killed.

A photograph of him beside Stalin in happier days was doctored to remove all trace of the unfortunate Yezhov. It was as though he had never existed.

No, I think you're in the right forum since it's about media.

Just one problem. It's not a story. It's an opinion piece by the subject himself, not a story of what happened.

At the Paris summit, did Obama announce to the world "our emissions are at a 20 year low thanks in most part to the increased use of natural gas. This abundance of natural gas has been made available through the process of high volume high pressure hydraulic fracturing"?

No.

Why not?

Because it's the fucking truth.

Fuck that bastard.

Global climate change is the religion of the atheist left, and questioning it is heresy. Step back from the agenda and take a long look you brilliant academics,

And now to correct the record -- Quentin Letts wasn't "fired" at all. The OP title is pure bullshit. What happened was the Beeb axed a program that the apparently emotionally fragile Letts presented, on the grounds that it was a "breach of the BBC's impartiality rules". In other words the same reason a Wikipedia editor writing "George Bush doesn't care about black people" would have that writing taken down. -- Radio 4 Programme was 'Serious Breach of Impartiality Rules'

Ironically by presenting a story from the sole perspective of Quentin Letts himself, the OP did exactly the same thing.

And nobody got "fired" or as they say in the UK, "sacked". The OP completely made that up. It isn't even suggested in his own link.

Science doesn't need to be defended by physical force, punitive laws, or peer pressure to conform or lose your career. And yet the global warming crowd has done all these things.

Liberals like to remind us that the Catholic Church forced Galileo to recant his theory that the Earth revolved around the Sun.

And yet the global warming crowd is doing the exact same thing. Global warming is religion to these people, and heretics are punished.

This is the surest proof that man-made global warming is a lie.

The lie is the OP. Nobody was fired -- he made that up. I already documented that. Read threads much?

The show was censored. You can't deny that.

"Censored"? By who?
