Maldonado of the Milwaukee Brewers literally knocked the cover off the baseball tonight, on a simple grounder to third. These are brand new baseballs, only used for two or three pitches usually. Is China making MLB baseballs now?
The wood used for bats is weak these days. Sometimes there will be three or four bats that break, and end up at second or third base when they hit a ball during one game. One of these times, a defensive player is going to get shishkabobed.
The new instant replay rule is proving that umps are wrong 33% of the time. And sometimes they can't get it right even with slow motion replay.
