Why would anyone find this surprising? Everything liberal that happens is exactly the opposite of the stated intent. The country has been divided by none other then the POTUS and the VP. From their comment that the police acted stupidly to "they'll put ya all back in chains" comments there is nothing uniting about this administration.

Barack Obama's election win in 2008 was hailed by some as ushering in a post-racial age in the US. However, recent books and surveys have shown that black American progress has often either halted or declined.

There's no way to create or legislate "fairness" when we are constantly dividing people up into little groups and pitting them against each other. Every constituency in that model will always be unsatisfied with their slice of the "fairness" pie, and it becomes an exercise in futility and exacerbates the divisions. That's the fatal weakness of Identity Politics.

Unfortunately, there are people who have a vested interest in keeping us divided into little groups, who have a vested interest in keeping Identity Politics alive. The divisions will continue and probably grow until these people are ultimately marginalized. If ever.

Obama has set black people back. Forget about being a President. He is a horrible example of a black man. The next time a black guy vie for the presidency, he won't even get the nomination.

Truthfully he has set us all back, blacks maybe more so but we all are not better off. I seriously doubt anyone can disagree that after 3 1/2 years of Obama anything is better. All that can be argued is that things would have been worse, which is unmeasurable but looking a history seems to be a load of BS.

In my opinion, Obama's life experiences make him about as black as a snow flake.
