Barack Obama Killed Osama Bin Laden. Period.

But he would likely be the last to take credit for the success. He would likely give that credit to his subordinates...as any great leader would do.

And as he repeatedly did. Or, as Jon Stewart said, Obama thanked everybody Harvey Feinstein. And he had the video to prove it. The problem is, the neocons don't want to give him ANY credit whatsoever.

I think you missed the point.
Yes, he gave credit to others...and those others moved on....not mentioning it...not askling for thanks.....another successful mission and time to move on.
Obama is still talking about it as one of HIS accomplishments.

I cant helkp it if you dont see it...and I understand why you dont. Not criticizing you...but as you seek positives in Obama, I take notice of the negatives.

Take John McCain for example. He does not talk about his heroism...sure...the media did when he was campaigning...but to him? He simply did what he was supposed to do. Nothing special there in his eyes. It was not worthy of discussion.

True heros dont need people to recognize them as heros.

What makes a hero is not what they do...it is how they deal with the aftermath.

Did he give Bush credit? I mean hes blamed him for so much. So I assume he gave him this credit.

I dislike Obama policy and so on as much as the next conservative, but I am not going to rag on him for being on a golf course and getting the call. he could just as easily have been on the can, or snoggin the missus.

Blowing the boyfriend maybe, but Barry da Fairy doesn't "snog" females.

Get real.

negged for homophobic comment.

Credit Oblunder for not screwing up the good work of the special ops.

But when it came to taking the phone call, anybody would have made the same decision.

Even Natasha Obama could have agreed to killing the bad guy.

According to an ad Obama is running and Arianna Huffington blasted, it calls into to question whether Romney would have made the same decision. Pretty sad when Arianna blasts a democrat and favors the Republican.

Yeah, well. He hurt her tater peelings at the Correspondents Dinner.

Why would that shock me and so what if he was?

You're the one who seems to have a problem with it.

Really?

What indicates that I have a "problem" with it? Because I acknowledge reality?

Here is a clue, something you lack: I don't care that Obama is as queer as a $3 bill. I DO care that he is a major fuckup and the worst president in the last hundred years.

He gave the order.

Good enough for me. That make him at least an accomplice? He's guilty alone with Wright and with Ayers? Then lets not blame him for the 2008 global financial meltdown that is ongoing.
Didn't Bush get Saddam?

I find the title of this thread not only insulting to warriors who carried out the mission to take out UBL but also EVERY young warrior sent to that turd hole part of the world. While it's right to give the PResident his credit for making what was a very tough decision to enter into another nation and put at risk American lives to take out UBL, please do not forget the warriors who made this happen. THEY are the HERO's here.

Very well said. I give Obama the credit for making the decision.

But I think of all those that have served, all those that have been injured, all those that have died, the fathers and mothers, the brothers the sisters, the sons and the daughters that have had loved ones serving in the military. So many sacrifices, so many loved ones, so many lives affected. These are real warriors, the real heroes, the real people that as a team pulled it off. I think of the Navy Seals team and they could not have done it with out their brothers and sisters that have served with them and sacrificed so much.

Something I often told my wife and daughter on many occasions on many deployments. Thank you for reminding me again, that the families of these warriors make sacrifices and often do so without hesitation and complaint. Your exactly right!

That's the kind of thing that goes without saying because the actual ISSUE is people who want so badly to deny that the President gave the order, they will say anything, no matter how irrational.

In other words, people are trying to say the Seal Team would have done it without his say-so. There is not even a glimmer of truth in that allegation. He couldn't have done it without them, and vice-versa.

You are the one distorting the truth with the very title of the thread. I give Obama kudos for making the decision, but he did not kill Bin Laden, he ordered the killing.

Osama bin Laden and the Morality of Celebrating Death

On the night in which news of bin Laden's death broke, I hailed a cab to the White House. There, I joined thousands of Washington's twenty-somethings and college students at the president's front gate. Shirtless, tattooed men were climbing street poles and trees to hang American flags. Chants of "The Star-Spangled Banner" echoed as if strategically-positioned boomboxes were blasting it on repeat. At least on the surface, smiles, cheers, and laughs were the troubling response to news that another human being's life had been taken.

Kevin Hansen: Osama bin Laden and the Morality of Celebrating Death

And you and your family made the sacrifices and for that, we should all be grateful to you and those like you.

No, it wasn't sick. It was relief. 3,000 Americans lost their lives on that day, and people are whining that OBL didn't get a 'proper burial'?? How many of our lost didn't get a proper burial because there wasn't enough left of them to identify the body!?

"The death of bin Laden was our most strategic blow yet against al-Qaida," Brennan said at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington.

Obama has every right to celebrate, boast and gloat and thow it in the face of GOP every chace he get and anything else he want to do. He got Osama and Bush did not.
Osama is in Paradise with 72 virgins and no porn and no viagra.
