NYC pizza ovens targeted by new green rule to slice emissions
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection is reportedly drafting a rule that would require restaurants with brick and wood-fired ovens installed before 2016 to reduce their carbon emissions by up to 75%.

yeah, Im sure they believe it should be so easy for the little guy to go out and install emissions controls! They hardly consider these people are still coming out of lock downs if they have even survived at all.
If they have to pay for that shit they will have to lay off employees, raise prices perhaps or even fold up, being tired of the struggle. Stupid liberal politicians have no idea how hard it is to run a restaurant, the day in and day out pressures, and then living off of a small profit margin.
But this is the kind of thinking we have learned to love and expect from Liberal/ leftists. Sure the chain pizzarias may be able to do this but once again, it will be the small independents who will suffer.
Why cant these IDIOTS ever sit down and have a discussion before hand with the people who will be damaged the most by their policys ... and then maybe give it a second thought?
Even if they were to go with electric ovens, they will then be powered by coal fired power plants.
