Dampier, in outback Western Australia, has been named Australia's richest town, with over 20 per cent of households raking in more than $4000 a week.
Dampier has been enjoying the spoils of the Pilbara's iron ore industry since the 1960s.

Stephen Stockwell reports from the town's only pub, the Mermaid Hotel.
