You know the world is upside down when the Army is asking for the death penalty for a Staff Sgt. alleged to have killed 16 Afghan civilians but they are apparently not considering the death penalty for the Major who killed 13 of his own men and wounded 32 others.

The Staff Sgt's alleged crimes were committed in 2012 while Major Hasan's jihad terrorist act happened in 2009. Which one has the best case, the jihad Major who opened fire on his own Troops or the Sgt who is alleged to have acted alone? Something is not right. The Sgt is facing a death penalty Court Martial but the jihad Major is still languishing in a Military hospital. Maybe the Sgt. should have grown a beard.

Fort Hood Murderer Denied Change of Venue, Escape from Death Penalty
U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan, the man who killed 13 people in 2009 at Fort Hood, Texas, is not getting his wish to change the venue of his trial away from the base. A military judge ruled Wednesday that the court-martial trial will be set for July at Fort Hood. Hasan could get the death penalty if he is convicted.

Why did the Military wait so long to try this guy? Four years is a long time when they have a slam dunk case. They captured, indicted, tried and executed Tim McVeigh all within 7 years and it was a far more complicated case.

Both deserve death if you ask me, but how is killing 16 civilians not a bigger crime than killing 13 soldiers? Do you value the lives of foreigners to be less than U.S. citizens? Should that carry over to the U.S.? If I kill 16 illegal immigrants is that a lesser crime than killing 13 American citizens? Or is foreign human life worth less than American life only when its both foreign in origin and location?

I just assumed the Military brass as well as the Administration were making sure all their asses were covered before they brought Hasan to trial.

Bottom line they knew they had a psycho on their hands ages ago and yet they still promoted him let alone deal with his "issues".

Every one knew he was a loose cannon.

For those that don't know about Major Hasan this piece of research by the Telegraph in the UK will give you a real insight into not only the man's mindset, but also clearly proves that the brass were clearly aware of his "thought process".

Many Doctors heard this speech at Walter Reed. It's not rumor. T'is the real deal. And the Administration is full of shit attempting to claim it wasn't a terrorist attack but "workplace violence".

There were so many red flags with the Major that were ignored. And it's worth the total read and at the link you will find great links to other investigative articles on Major Hasan.

You bet the brass wants to cover their asses.

Fort Hood gunman had told US military colleagues that infidels should have their throats cut
Major Nidal Malik Hasan, the gunman who killed 13 at America's Fort Hood military base, once gave a lecture to other doctors in which he said non-believers should be beheaded and have boiling oil poured down their throats.

He also told colleagues at America's top military hospital that non-Muslims were infidels condemned to hell who should be set on fire.

The outburst came during an hour-long talk Hasan, an Army psychiatrist, gave on the Koran in front of dozens of other doctors at Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washington DC, where he worked for six years before arriving at Fort Hood in July.

Colleagues had expected a discussion on a medical issue but were instead given an extremist interpretation of the Koran, which Hasan appeared to believe.

It was the latest in a series of "red flags" about his state of mind that have emerged since the massacre at Fort Hood, America's largest military installation, on Thursday.

Hasan, armed with two handguns including a semi-automatic pistol, walked into a processing centre for soldiers deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan, where he killed 13 and injured more than 30.

Fellow doctors have recounted how they were repeatedly harangued by Hasan about religion and that he openly claimed to be a "Muslim first and American second."

Proposal allows Purple Heart for Fort Hood victims
May 9, 2012 — Federal lawmakers have proposed making the victims of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage eligible for the Purple Heart.
A bill introduced in Congress would remove the distinction between international and domestic terrorism, making any military victims of terrorist attacks in the U.S. eligible for the Purple Heart. It's now awarded only to troops attacked in a combat zone.

The bill is sponsored by Connecticut Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent, and Republican Rep. Peter King of New York.

Some members of Texas' delegation already proposed allowing Fort Hood victims to receive the same benefits as those killed or wounded in combat.

Thirteen people were killed and more than two dozen wounded in the rampage. Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan faces the death penalty if convicted at his August trial.

I keep waiting to hear the theme music from the Twilight Zone as this "incident" and how the Administration is handling it, takes on more bizarre twists and turns.

This latest round of denying the Purple Hearts to the victims is nothing short of an abomination.

So you don't think the murders of innocent civilians is equal to the murders of Americans?
