..the USMC is seen as more of an elite force also
..the AF has better/more technical/etc MOSs-''jobs''--
...the Navy has some boring/etc jobs--but also more technical/better/etc ''jobs''
..the Army has more grunt ''jobs''--''boring''/infantry/etc

The Marine Corp is not an elite force, but they do have units that fill those rolls just like all the other branches. I was Army and installed/trouble shot networks. For every Infantryman there is a buttload of support personnel.

I was in for 8 years
but per capita, there are better jobs in the AF and Navy
there are not many ''infantry'' in the AF and Navy
the Navy has more ''specialists'' per capita--
engines/computers/piping/etc
