Are Executive Orders Constitutional?

Poor Jake, this is your life...and now you are forced to defend it against everything, even the truth ;)

#24 and #25 above: Yurt and Roo lie. EOs are constitutional until SCOTUS says otherwise. The rogue twins cannot overcome their burden.

The truth is always defensible, which you have found out to your detriment so many times, Roo. There is not a thing you can do to change the truth of this: #24 and #25.

You are a phony, and you know it.

you are truly dumb jake. if the president made an EO that confined you, alone, to a prison camp, would you claim that to be constitutional?

Jake I have owned you cfrom the first day I arrived, we both know it.

Tell me, is it your contention that the SCOTUS will simply deign to take it up without any lower courts having ruled on it?

Is that what you are saying?

They are ultra radicals, and as such cannot operate competently in our world of facts and laws.

Their problem, not ours, until they cross the laws, and they will be dealt with appropriately.

The authority to do such was not explicitly authorized in the Constitution.

No one has cited this Executive Order:
Executive Order 9981 is an executive order issued on July 26, 1948 by President Harry S. Truman. It abolished racial discrimination in the armed forces and eventually led to the end of segregation in the services.

Executive orders were to streamline administrative proceedings and apply only to federal employees. Truman and Eisenhower could pass desegregation orders because the military is all under federal jurisdiction. They could desegregate the schools because the schools are federal creations.

The executive order, by reason of the separation of powers, cannot be used as a substitute for legislative action. We don't elect an Emperor, but a president. Constitutionally, the president cannot violate the separation of powers clause. Of course criminally, the president can be just another thug taking what doesn't belong to him.

This is why government and the Constitution is no longer taught in schools. It's so the people don't know what the government is doing to them. They can really think that the president has unlimited and unchecked power. Ban guns, ban video games and the president has final say on what movies will be released. The people will think that this is all within presidential power.

Interesting until you lie in the final paragraph. Through the South government and constitution are taught in 5th, 7th, 11th and dual-credit college classes.

Thus, we can ignore the rest of your lies.

The Constitution can't be taught and still end up with a population this profoundly ignorant. After all, obama was a con law professor and hasn't a clue as to what the Constitution says.

If we elect a dictator for four years, why bother with a senate or a congress at all? If the president can make these delibertive bodies irrelevant, why pay them? If you knew that the Constitution provided for a separation of powers you would know why, but since you never heard of the clause and have no idea what it means, we get obamaland.

If you bothered to pick up the Constitution you would know the answer.

I'll leave that to SCOTUS.

Yes, so that the great minds who interpret the constitution can come to a 5/4 vote oddly supporting bigger Government. Makes you wonder how the SC manages to come as close to a 50/50 divide on such big issues. 2+2 always equals 4 but somehow not having the federal power to do things like HC per the constitution =’s Government has absolute power to get involved in healthcare, even demanding you buy products. So do we get rid of the 4 that didn't agree the GW clause means anything you want it to mean?

Yes, it was the ultra right that lost the election for Mitt, as their hate drove millions and millions of right of center to center into the Obama camp.

We don't care what the ultra right wants, other than they will go.

There is nothing to run away from because you are offering silly hypotheticals.
