""The Victory of Faith"

The Victory of Faith

The dying liberal-democratic system had opinions that were changeable, relative and not binding, but it did not have an absolute worldview in which people could put their faith.

In National Socialism, Germany has found a constructive principle, an ordering thought, that is called to end chaos by forcing a common direction to all the various aspects of life and putting everything in the service of an absolute idea.

Historic and worldview battles always are about the victory of an idea that seeks to become absolute, that takes upon itself the transformation of the world. If a victorious revolution has won freedom of action, it cannot be distracted or stopped by complaints about intolerance. They come either from adherents of past structures, structures against which the revolution fought and displaced, or from those who as Nihilists oppose any order because they want chaos and anarchy. Against such people, the rule of an idea must be hard and unforgiving. He who wants to build must push aside and fight everything that stands in the way. The greatness of an era depends on bringing all thoughts and all forms of life under a unified worldview, a unified faith.

A true worldview brings values, style, a moral law. It takes fate in its hands. Everything else is theory, a matter for discussion.

This demonstrates the deepest roots from which a worldview draws its strengths: from faith. Great times rest on a great, absolute faith. Only those with faith, with mountain-moving strength and joy in action can fulfill an historic mission. Values that are truly believed, not merely recognized and discussed, are the foundation of creative strength. In era of decline, however, everything is open to discussion and therefore to denial. When God is a question, one no longer builds cathedrals. Where people have no living faith, they do nothing great, nothing that lasts."

Sound like anyone we know? Aren't some of the ultra-religious Christian conservatives doing this very thing?

Sounds like the Zealots in Iran to me....except the Nazis didn't have the nuclear bomb like the Muslim Zealots will have by the time Obama is through negotiating with them.

Right. The Christian zealots are so much better than other zealots.

The postulate of a Christian theocracy in the U.S. is laughable. Who would head it: A Catholic, liberal Protestant, evangelical Baptist or a Mormon? The history of the U.S. is based on a diversity of religious beliefs. Most of the Colonies were founded by members of individual religious sects. Their unique achievement was to put aside those differences and unite in opposition to oppressive external rule.

Likening them to Nazis is equally absurd, especially since Naziism was a secular political philosophy which specialized in the suppression of religious beliefs. However, I do think we are approaching a situation akin to Germany in the 1930's where existing political structures are failing and people are more receptive to radical alternatives, whether from the Right or the Left.

Right. The Christian zealots are so much better than other zealots.

Yes, in fact they are. Because of Thomas Jefferson's Wall of Separation between Church and State, and other reformations in Christian religious thought--they will only assert their beliefs, whereas the Muslims, who you Loons and Pinheads seem to prefer...will cut your head off for not agreeing with them.

People who believe different than you but who let you live in peace--like Methodists and Baptists.

Or, Muslims who will kill every Christian in a University, just because they are Christians.

Which Zealot is better, Loon?

So all conservative are Christians, and all Christians are conservatives?

Not quite. Conservatives claim to be Christians while advocating things that would disgust Jesus. While some Christians are conservative, that is a totally different thing from what we have now begun to call "christian conservative " . Nobody believes a "christian conservative" is any more Christian than "The Peoples Republic of China" is actually a republic of the people.

Jesus Christ, what is it with you dumbfucks and the need to call fellow Americans Nazis?

Morons, the lot of ya

Nobody called you a Nazi. They merely pointed out, with credible documented proof, that you say the exact same things, and have the exactly the same stated goals. It was left to others to decide if you are in fact Nazis.

And being the honest person you are you will gladly supply a link of me talking or acting like a Nazi won't you?

I'm not going to track down every incident where you advocated all the same things on that list, with perhaps the exception of "the duty to breed" . It would be easier all around if you list the things on that list that you don't agree with. Why don't you do that? Out of those first 8 statements by Hitler, tell us which ones you adamantly disagree with. You don' even have to bother with why. Just tell us that a patriotic right winger like you doesn't want which of those same things.

Concession to your ignorance accepted

The U.S. overall has adopted many Nazi ideas and practices. The Patriot Act and NDAA are just a few recent disturbing examples of this trend that started after WWII. The West especially the U.S., admired the Nazis for their astonishing advancements.

In fact, our entire Space Program was created by Ex-Nazis brought over from Germany after the war. Our walk on the moon wouldn't have happened without the Nazis. And all of our advancements in military missile technology were provided by Nazis as well. So the march towards Totalitarianism started a long time ago. And it's been advanced by both Neo-Conservatives and Communists/Progressives. To this day, the Nazis still have a powerful influence on U.S. governance.

So a patriotic right winger hasn't got the balls to say he disagrees with Hitler on even one of those 8 subjects. That pretty much proves my point doesn't it?

Just do some basic research, and you'll quickly find that the U.S. Government has been using the Nazi Playbook since the end of WWII. Many Ex-Nazis were brought here and played a prominent role in our Government, Military, Space Program, and so on. Many in our Government truly admired the Nazis.

That admiration goes back to prominent Citizens like Prescott Bush. But there were others who also did a lot of business with the Nazis. Most Americans are completely unaware that much of our current governance is based on Nazi ideas and practices.

According to your "logic" wanting trains to run on time makes one a Nazi.
