anyone have a problem with

The owners of Yarabee Farms claimed they used E Verify to vet the status of Mollie Tibbett's killer Cristhian Bahena Rivera.

Well, Yarabee Farms, owned by the family of a prominent Iowa Republican leader, Craig Lang, LIED.
They did NOT use the E Verify system.

So, if it becomes mandatory, who is gonna enforce it?

Nope..I think it is a good idea. I'm not so sure Trump really cares or is willing to push it to a successful conclusion..but attacking the problem of illegal immigration at its root..jobs..is a great idea. Both parties give it lip service..yet somehow..it never gets passed.

Both parties like the idea of cheap labor..and both parties love the issue as a way to energize their bases..I'd not hold my breath...LOL!

Probably the same people that arrest and detain people that fail firearm background checks, or straw buyers.

The Reid Ranch had nothing to do with that.

I wasn't aware that the two were connected.

A good percentage of denials for purchase do not result in arrest; what are you smoking?

A good percentage of denials for purchase do not result in arrest;

why not?

They lied on the official government form.

Straw buyers expecially, when they claim the weapon is for thier own use.

In both situations, background check and e-verify, the law should be enforced.

Correct?

E-Verify is a DHS (federal) set-up.
Purchase back ground checks are typically run by respective states.
I don't know if a federal system & 50 different state set-ups are gonna square; capiche?

OK, so that's a ATF form that goes thru a FBI system check.

What does that have to do with DHS that is over E-Verify?

And besides that, Republicans want to put all of the FBI folks in prison.

:huh1:

It will be the same level local cops doing the arrests.

Why DHS?

the locals will arrest those in the companies failing to e-verify.

They should already be arresting those that lie on ATF-4473 forms.

You made this waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more complicated than it ever should have been.

I asked, "So, if it becomes mandatory, who is gonna enforce it?"

I didn't ask who is going to arrest folks.

Again, E-Verify is run by DHS.

The ATF form for the background check (that you brought up) is processed by the FBI.

Also, theoretically ICE could become involved if an 'illegal' is in the mix.

So, again; who is gonna enforce a mandatory E-Verify violation?
