From the video: Supporters of President Obama’s Amnesty plans attacked Tea Party Against Amnesty & Illegal Immigration demonstrators in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Sat. November 14, 2009. One of the men attacked is 62 years old. Dave Caulkett of FLIMEN (Floridians for Immigration Enforcement) is assaulted and then kicked in the face while he is down. The other camera man from the Tea Party is hit with several signs.

Those attacking the Americans that oppose Amnesty for illegal aliens were organized by ANSWER Florida.

We are beginning to see way too many echoes of the 1930s, as national socialist and Marxian socialist thugs try to drive competing political views off the streets. The worst offenders so far have been the Service Employees' International Union, which has repeatedly sent its members out into the streets to beat up anyone who isn't toeing the Obama line on issues like socialized medicine.

Most recently it's International ANSWER, a hard-core Communist group supported by shadowy funding sources that have never been made public, but appear to consist of a handful of rich people. ANSWER, notwithstanding its unabashedly Communist ideology, now feels comfortable enough to assault non-communist demonstrators who show up in the streets. In this case, the non-communists were protesting illegal immigration, seeking to uphold the nation's laws, when they were set upon by ANSWER's thugs:

We conservatives have long talked about our willingness to fight for freedom. In a sense, that's generally been metaphorical, especially when talking about domestic rather than foreign enemies. With the far left now on the march, however, it isn't metaphorical any more. It's just one more sign of the Age of Obama--fighting in the streets, as the extreme Left has been empowered as never before.

Considering that it's been months since the two SEIU guys beat up some black guy handing out flags at a TEA party with no arrests, no charges, etc - despite the video evidence - I'm guessing this one will be dealt with with the same 'efficiency'.

To ANSWER the protesters are bigots.

What they really want is for our laws to be followed. And the left refuses to just so they can get more voters into this country. More dependant minorities voting Democrat.

It's a matter of economics not racism.

If you mean get ignored by the Drivebys.....then I guess that's what will happen with it.

Violence against Tea-party members will be totally ignored.

I see that one of the protesters was assaulted by a sign welding attacker.

I wonder if Chucky Schumer will call for all of these "Assault Signs" to be made illegal.

It's the sign that committed the act, not the person.

Both groups are idiots. Also, it looked like the "cameraman" jumped out of a car and started instigating. The teabaggers seemed to give as good as they got.

It's now acceptable behavior to attack any group that's against The Barry and his agenda without worrying about repercussions. We know the Police can't arrest the perps because they are here illegally and are afforded special privileges for their Obama vote.

No one is attacking union protesters, but it's ok to attack people trying to exercise their freedom of speech.

A black guy at a tea party rally gets jumped by SEIU and called the N-Word yet no comment from Obama. A boston cop arrests his buddy and within a day obama is jumping to conclusions.

Consistency? Nope.

So, if you defend yourself, it is no harm no foul? They are Tea Party members, they don't want sex with you Ravi. I know, you're crushed.

You're right, those teabaggers were idiots.

let me ask you this...if a KKK member walked into the middle of a group of civil rights protesters in harlem, what do you think the result would be? Ditto a civil rights protester in the middle of a KKK rally? They were stupid idiots for even trying. They were looking to stir up shit, and they got it. Ever hear the term "yell fire in a movie house?" before..

Once again Kathi starts a thread about trying to make a point, but gives such a bad example she ends up with egg on her face...

Your logic is terrible. This is Fort Lauderdale, FL not Harlem. It is not the KKK but union folks. Is it unreasonable to expect better behavior from union members? We have a law against yelling fire in a movie house. No law against excerising free speech. We also have laws against assault. It takes a real dolt to defend violence against a 60+ year old.

there you have it....a loony lib saying violence is justified against those who do not support liberal beliefs....if you walk up to them, like many on the left do to those on the right, you are asking for VIOLENCE....

This had nothing to do with unions.

Yup. And attractively dressed women deserve to be raped.

So you think going into the middle of a protest over a volatile subject and start shoving cameras in a person's face is a good thing? t takes a real dolt to defend idiot behaviour designed to get a reaction, and when it gets such as reaction, puts the blame on those who were standing their ground. DId you see why the other guy hit the older guy? It was out of frame. Did the older guy hit him first? Why did the bald guy act like he did in the first place? What did the younger guy holding the camera say to him?

Of course you are allowed free speech, and my example stands. Stupid, stupid, stupid for the camera guy and his pal to walk in the middle of that and not expect a reaction. They were looking for action, they got it.

BTW, I saw a similar video about six months ago on the other side of the coin. A dude, with a camera, went smack bang into the middle of a group of Minutemen protesting about illegal aliens. He got shoved around, too, and was being very provocative. On that occasion, I thought he was a fucktard, too.

No, you have a centrist saying that if you go into a volatile situation and stir shit up, you get what you get.

Did you know that in the English premier league a player can be fined and suspended for weeks without pay if he gives shit to opposition fans when he scores a goal. Should he be allowed to do what he likes and expect the crowd to behave? In a perfect world, absolutely. But unlike you, the English FA realise that that is not the reality of the situation. If you want to site back on your high horse and spout a moral standard, at least try and deal with the reality of the situation, not some Utopian ideal. If you want Utopia, read Marx..

Both set of people come out of this looking bad IMO...but being a partisan Hack, Yurt, you don't see it.
