Another corporate moocher skips America

OH, and hey zeke. How much should business get back for bringing economic vitality to a nation? Lets try that one on.

Free? Are you naive?
They moved because of corporate-greed. Plain and simple. Greedy bastards charge an arm and a leg for their cutting edge, life-saving drugs.

Like you said those bastards makes us pay for medication. It shoild be free with scientists making nothing.....nice and you complain we dont like the min wage....youre a fucking retard

So instead of paying for drugs, youd rather we have none

oh and its people like you that want the highest corporate tax in the world....this is what you get

why not rail against the rolling stones or def leppard....they avoid taxes by moving to other countries.......and they are not right wingers

stop being a fool

How ironic. Those greedy bastards move to a socialist country where the people receive free health care.

What many fail to realize is the corp tax rate for most large companies, federally is from 34-39%. That does not include state or local taxes. State corp tax rates vary from state to state, anywhere from 2-12% on top of the federal. And locals all vary, many calling it a business tax. You also have sales tax. You also have inventory taxes, etc, etc. They then have to pay fica tax, on employees earnings, of 7.65%. Look at where they now sit, paying all the above.

That was a goodun. So I looked at Pfizer seeing as how we started out with them.

And it looks to me like they got paid pretty good for bringing economic vitality (and drugs) to a nation.

12.6 billion revenue. .58 share earning. Nice stock buy back.

You tell me. They do all right using all those things I mentioned the nation provides?
You got any of their stock?

This is pretty simple - If you want to stop people from doing something, stop doing the thing that's causing them to do whatever it is you want them to stop doing.

If you want them to stop moving offshore to pay a lower tax, lower the tax here in America.

And at the end of the day after all taxes have been paid, profits are distributed. Those lucky enough to benefit from their investment must then pay income taxes on it ... again.

I use a chainsaw quite a bit. What would YOU hack out of the Federal budget that would enable the USA to cut taxes for most major corporations and us citizens.

Be specific. List the billions you would cut and the unintended consequences from these massive cuts.

EVERYTHING, across the board, start slashing. Start with 25% cuts to all nonmilitary spending. Cut military spending at least 33% (preferably more). End all corporate welfare. End all farm welfare. Close overseas military bases. End all foreign aid. That's a start.

Or are you not a "detail" kind of person? Or do you just like the broad strokes kind of thinking.

Massive government cuts........can't say where.........more massive government cuts.

EVERYWHERE! Slash EVERYTHING. News flash: the money IS NOT THERE!

Now we are getting somewhere. 25% cuts to all non military spending. 33% or more cuts to military spending. No more welfare for corporations. No farm welfare. No foreign aid.

I love it.

You think there would be any unintended consequences from these huge cuts? And if so, what kinds of consequences.

For instance. Our infrastructure is already in need of massive spending to fix major problems. If the budget for infrastructure projects is cut 25%, could there be bad things happening for not fixing bridges, roads, ports etc?

How about this one. Major pharma companies have quit basic research for new antibiotics to fight against these new super antibiotic resistant super bugs. It is now looking like it will be up to the government IF there is to be new antibiotics to fight these infections.
Cut the research money 25% that would have funded this research, you think there might be bad results from these cuts?

Every action has a reaction. You ever heard that one before? Cut spending is an action. Not discussing the reaction wouldn't be right. Cause you know reactions are gonna happen.
What will they be and will the reaction be worse than inaction?

The alternatives are hyperinflation (as in: Wiemar Germany or Zimbabwe) or bankruptcy. I suspect that cutting everything 25% could be done simply by eliminating waste and idiotic, archaic work rules...and damn near nobody would notice!

Gotta love that double taxation...this government has an insatiable appetite for property that isn't theirs.

You don't know what is meant when I say what do they get back? To you, its only money? Greed on their part?

Where is your risk? How many do you employ? Why should you question them when they provide health and economic freedom to thousands, if not millions?

Where is the good will to the people who make Pfizer possible?

BTW....you didn't answer the question. How much government greed should we put up with? After all, what use is a road and or a bridge to a people who have no means of affording the cars to use them?

Have you been drinking all afternoon? You are making no fucking sense.

You think corporations are altruistic? Even if they are drug companies, they are loyal to their shareholders. Not their customers. Unless they happen to be one and the same.

How many of those billions of revenue do you think Pfizer got from the government in the form of medicare and medicaid payments?

Gotta love that double taxation...this government has an insatiable appetite for property that isn't theirs.

Companies also pay higher rates for the same gov't price regulated products and services - utilities - than residents do and there are far more taxes levied on businesses than just income tax.
Gov't is an extension of its American constituent's demands and, as such, we now enjoy a system of gov't where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers. In other words, a tyranny of the majority or, an Ineptocracy.
