Another Celebrity Walks/Jackson Walks!

He wasn't on trial for giving intoxicants to minors - he was on trial for child molestation. Right or wrong, that's all they'll concentrate on. If people want him found guilty on the intoxication thing, they'll have to bring a seperate trial forward for that, I think.

Not so. Unfortunately in America there is no "double jeopardy". He pulled a straight on all the charges never to be tried again.

WTF? The verdicts were read seperately for each CHARGE. DOH! He could have been found guilty of the "lesser" charges and also been found guilty of the other charges. It would not have made sense to charge him on all counts seperately. Why are you making excuses for the jury? You a Jackson fan?

Where does it say he can never be tried again, or that no appeals on anything can be broght forth?

BTW: He was on trial for giving intoxicants to a minor. Otherwise, there would have been no need for the jury to decide if he was guilty or not of doing that. Are you really this dumb or do you just play it on USMB?

OMG! LMFAO! Are you serious? You have never heard of double jeapordy? Having been found INNOCENT by a jury, he is free for life unless there are new charges involving a NEW victim.

Well, the silver lining is that MJ's career is that we can all agree that his career is without a doubt over.

What would be the possible reprimands even if he were convicted of giving alcohol to minors? I doubt it would be any jail time, probation at the most. The deciding factors would be the age of the kids and the fact that they were given the alcohol without their knowledge.

Ummm... it's in the "CONSTITUTION" Shattered. You can't be tried for the same thing twice.

He could be tried AGAIN for giving liqour to a minor if a completely new source came foward and leveled a brand new accusation.

I'm only going on what I've read about the legal system in general since reading up on the Schiavo case. As for the Jackson fan comment.. I haven't been a Jackson fan for about as long as you haven't - which is what.. Jr. High School?

The fuckers guilty, he should fry. However, that doesn't changed how whatever law is applied, and from everything I've read, and experienced in child molestation charges, they concentrate on one thing and one thing only...did he molest the child? I don't remember him being on trial for anything else.. Course, that trial hasn't sucked up any major portion of my life, either.

Couple of points.

He can be tried again, but in a civil trial. Remember OJ?

There were a total of 10 charges - 2 of them with minor charges.

Here they are:

--Count one: Conspiracy involving child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion, including 28 specific acts between Feb. 1 and March 31, 2003. Verdict: Not guilty.

--Counts two through five: Lewd act upon a child under the age of 14, between Feb. 20 and March 12, 2003. Verdicts: Not guilty.

--Count six: Attempt to get a child under age 14 to commit a lewd act upon Jackson between Feb. 20 and March 12, 2003. Verdict: Not guilty.

--Counts seven through 10: Administering an intoxicating agent -- alcohol -- to assist in the commission of child molestation. Verdicts: Not guilty.

He was on trial for 28 seperate inditements Shattered. He could have been found guilty on any one of them, but he walked free as a bird on everything.

The law that was applied in his case was "california law", where they just won't turn on their own. Had he been tried in Chicago, he'd be in the proccess of being assigned a cell mate named Bubba.

I see you still can't manage to get your point across without insults and name-calling. Enjoy yourself - you look so much more manly when you do that.

His career is NOT over. Steve Wynn is in and has been in negotiations with Michael Jackson to have him come to Vegas and be a headliner at the the new Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Now that he has been found innocent, I am sure Wynn will finalize a contract since he can do it without any "shame". A matter-of-fact, the more I think about this, the more I would be willing to wager that good 'ole Steve has his hands in these not guilty verdicts. I would like to see how many of the jurors will be heading off to Vegas for a fun filled all expenses paid vacation to Vegas over the next year or so. Steve Wynn is known for meddling when it will benefit him and his ventures. His partner in Macau is a known organized crime figure and just about everybody in Vegas knows that Steve started out as a front man for the mob.

Ladies and gentlemen today we mourn the American Legal system.
Where justice can be yours...if the price is right.

That little ramble made no sense at all. And BTW, God does not judge us while we are here on Earth as he has left that to man to decide. However, I am confident God will dispense the proper judgement once Michael's time comes and he stands before God.

WTF are you talking about "false testimony"? That never entered our conversations so what straw are you grasping for?

No his career is NOT over. Even during this trial they've been looking at europe where he's still very popular. See they don't give a fuck if you lick on little boys in europe, hell, they might even PROVIDE him with little boys over there.

And I wouldn't doubt that about wynn either free. I heard enough about that hood when I lived in Vegas. I wouldn't put anything past him.

In any case, jackson getting off smells to high heaven.

gets to moonwalk out of that courtroom a free man. I'm sure he'll be giving it a heheh heheheeeeeeeeeeee hee or whatever that annoying sound it is he makes on records. The accuser and his family made for an unconvincing argument. SAD SAD SAD. Jackson's a child molester and will do the same again. However, I'll say this, ANY PARENT WHO LETS THEIR CHILD GET WITHIN TEN FEET OF JACKSON IS A CERTIFIABLE MORON!! Now mikey can go to other countries and get his jollies. What a freak and what a freakin bad verdict.
