They won about 90 seats, Tammytard.
Not bad for a party that's only about 3 yrs old :)
This is obviously causing the leftards some concern as they immediately 'protested' this democratic result!
Plus Shultz and his party will not continue in coalition.

From the same article:

...but she was left seriously damaged as she hemorrhaged millions of votes to fringe parties including the far-right AfD.

...
The anti-immigrant party polled at 13.5 per cent, potentially winning them up to 90 seats in the Bundestag where they vowed to 'go after Merkel' and 'reclaim our country and our people.'

Their success is the first time in 60 years that a far-right party has held such power at a national level.

You know I think this result makes the AFD the 3rd party. Not bad considering how new they are.

Isn't their leader the woman you wanted to be attacked with housebricks? :)

And now this :mad-61:

Leadership of German far right splits hours after electoral success

If true, this is bad news, she was a charismatic leader who got the party elected.

"If true, this is bad news, she was a charismatic leader who got the party elected."

No for the AfD it's good news.

Frauke Petry also was not the leader of the AfD, she was co-chair with Jörg Meuthen and she has been almost absent from the election campaign, unlike Meuthen.

Frauke Petry did not get the AfD elected, she stood aside in the Summer and Alice Weidel and Alexander Gauland lead the AfD in the election campaign and it was them who got the AfD elected along with Beatrix von Storch and Jörg Meuthen who remains co-chair of the AfD.

Petry has been a cause of division within the AfD for some time, probably since February 2017 it began.

Also from the article, this is correct without Petry they can be more cohesive.

We shall see what happens.

Without Frauke Petry within to cause more arguments the AfD is better.

Also despite what Angela Merkel publicly comments about the AfD behind the scenes it will be different, this considering a lot of the 93 AfD members elected began in the CDU and still have the friendships and connections to the CDU because of that.

Also just one of the 93 AfD elected Alexander Gauland who I mention above in my previous post he was a member of the CDU from 1966 until 2010 when he left in protest at the bailout of Greece.

"....he left in protest at the bailout of Greece."

Apparently he suspected the Greece "bailout" was going to open the floodgates to Europe's third world invasion. Globalists ruined Greece then "bailed" them out in lieu of allowing through the hordes from the ME. They did the same thing with Italy and again with the same result. Italy opened the gates of Europe for
sub-Saharans invading Europe.
