And Tim Tebow Was Bad For The Game?

I don't care if you Lefties howl about this piece. Rush hits the nail on the head with this. A man who openly showed his faith and lives a good and decent life caused an uproar. Yet, we have a bunch of thugs hitting women and beating their children and the apologists come out in droves claiming they don't deserve punishment. “They need help.”

I have a lot of respect for Tim Tebow, although I don't agree with him. I only wish he would have shown the same abilities in the NFL that he showed with the Gators.

Interesting view, I bet the women and children would rather see a prayer after a touchdown than them getting beaten after a game.

And I'm sure there are altar boys who would have liked not being abused by Catholic Priests.

AND there are probably some that liked it.

If any of them went back for seconds I have my doubts if there wasn't some two way homo action going down. Then after they end up fucked up morons later in life they can blame an easy target like a priest.

You might not be able to remove yourself from a family environment but you don't HAVE to go back to the same church.

12-15 year olds, lied it? Are you freaking insane? How the hell did they know? Blaming the victim for the crime, you are a classic asshole.

I agree with your view of the Catholic Church and the cover up. I don't think any loving God approved of what the Priest or The Catholic Church did.

Just because people call themselves religious or Christian, it doesn't mean they are.

Many Christians are fake, but many more are kind and loving, but just like you, none of them are perfect.

I'm not perfect. I freely admit that I'm not.

But I don't go around telling people I speak for a magic sky pixie who is. And then do really horrible things.

That is your opinion, and I don't do really horrible things either.

I'm reasonably sure that the priests targeted kids they suspected were gay. Or at least open to it.

Still makes it wrong.

There is no justification for what they did, they were adults and they used their position , trust and power to prey on kids.

That's because they are looking to justify their hatred for religion. They equate religion to domestic violence. They'd rather see a Ray Rice beat the hell out of his wife than to see Tebow play because of his religion. Pretty screwed up. They justify Adrian Peterson beating his kid as equal to watching Tebow play, because his prayers after touchdowns is so offensive.

The only people I've heard defending Rice and Peterson are "Conservatives".

As if to say we are ignorant of or oblivious to what is right and wrong as responsible adults?

You are painting a false narrative. False and intentionally misleading.

Hardly the sentiments of an unbiased, objective observer.

To the partisan it looks as if we are defending a wrong doer.

Actually, we are looking to prevent scapegoating which only serves to make the mindless mobs and armchair arbiters of social justice feel good about themselves, undeservedly so, in many cases.

And your snide observation suggests we Conservatives must be like Gods to you!

After all, if normal folks, clear thinking folks like yourself, believe there is only one side of the story, especially before all the facts are known, well we Conservatives who can see all sides of the story, must be like mystics to you.

We are ONLY demonstrating the spirit of the US justice system.

Presumed innocense. A vigorous defense of the accused. A search for the truth.

We look good compared to what you defend as supposedly a superior paradigm.

Had a STACKED team and was barely able to be the below .500 non playoff making teams which were his "win streak," almost all the games came to the last seconds and 100% of the teams missed the playoffs.

His team did beat Pittsburgh on the road in the playoffs. He was not a good pro QB, he was an excellent college QB, sometimes college doesn't translate well in the pros.

Bad quarterbacks are bad for the game

Tebow was good for the game. The talk and the hype he provided got ratings up, got fans interested, and talking about a game.

Right now, the fans are talking football but it is not good publicity they are talking about, it makes them less likely to watch.

You are right though, Tebow was not a good pro quarterback, he was a very good college quarterback.
Tebow with a Heisman Trophy, two national championships, and a wall full of trophies seem destined for greatness in the NFL His razzle dazzle play in college against the best teams in the nation made him a favorite of fans and he generated a huge following.

Scouts and Coaches in the NFL agreed he was one great football player. However, the problem was they didn't know how to use him. He was a great passer but not the best, a great running back but not the best, a blocker that was as good as most linemen, he could kick, and he was even a pretty decent receiver. The problem he faced in the NFL, was there was no need for a jack of all trades. You make it in the NFL by being a specialist. Tebow was a left handed quarterback with a slow release and was not that accurate for an NFL quarterback. He had an uncanny ability to spot open receivers and turn a failing passing play into a run as he often did in college ball. He had a rare combination of size, strength and speed which made him a great running back. However, in the NFL, a quarterback must make it as a passer. Running becomes icing on the cake. What Tebow needed in the NFL was a coach that would build the team around him as Urban Meyer did at Florida but that's really hard in the NFL and few coaches are willing to do that.

Tebow may find his way back into the NFL and could become a great quarterback, but I doubt it.

Absolutely psychotic. You need to be locked up.
