Indications are that the mob in Egypt broke into the museum and (for some reason) desecrated mummies by hacking off their heads. It's a sad day for Egypt but a windfall for relic hunters?

Go into any museum in the WEST.

See all the pretty artifacts?

They're mostly stolen.

Now when a person (SAY A PERSON WHO ACTUALLY LIVES NEAR THE SOURCE OF THESE ARTIFACTS and is digging them up to feed their families) find and then sells artifacts? That's theft.

But when a museum or nation digs them up or buys them on the black market, that's good scholarship.

Handy distinction for our Western scholars, isn't it?
