An Open Letter to Michael Steele and the Republican Party

Lefties mindlessly repeat that if you don't want socialism, and socialism is what Obama's pandering and putting into effect, then you want America to fail.

It's hogwash. We don't want America to fail, which is why we reject the policies which will cause (and are as we speak, causing) America's economy and society to tank.

We love America, hence we hate the policies put into place by Obama. We hope they fail and we hope he fails in establishing a socialist regime because if he succeeds in doing that, he succeeds in establishing tyranny and eliminating freedom in this country.

Simple enough for you yet?

There have been those of us in here all along that have always said that Rush is an entertainer.. playing to a target audience... and not some political leader... he's great at providing exactly what his core audience wants to hear... and I am glad I am not in his audience... and I AM a conservative

But those things always get brushed aside

A target audience of around 15 million people.

Minimalize all you like, that's a HUGE audience, and he is frequently at odds with his listeners. Obviously his audience wants to hear what he has to say, because they agree with him. But the idea that he focuses on saying what he thinks they want to hear is idiotic.

People listen to Rush because you ALWAYS LEARN something new. He always has information that nobody else has either reported, or something that he can tie with history, either recent or past, to show it in a complete light.

If you aren't in his audience, you've completely discredited your comments that he says what his audience wants to hear and that he's not a conservative. If you don't listen to him, you don't know what he says. Except through the filter of the media, and that's always a huge mistake to make. If you want to comment on Rush, you have to listen to him. Then you have some credibility.

We love America, hence we hate the policies put into place by Obama.

Problem here is that the America you love is dead and gone. Obama the Multiracial Messiah and his coalition of white-haters are the new game in town.

And, I'd say "America" as we know it ain't coming back. We are on course to be a country with half a billion people, all speaking different languages, demaning black rights, Hispanic rights, you name it. We fight wars for Israel, not the U.S. Our government takes money from white taxpayers and gives it to "La Raza." And not one Republican will stand up for the whites who built the country -- NOT ONE.

We should "all" demand rights for "all" citizens of this country , regardless of race , color , creed , etc....Period.

The Constitution...although put together by Slave owners themselves , had more power than them...regardless of their race. It affords equal rights for all......all.

Agreed....the government shouldnt take from one and give to another.

Agreed....the government shouldnt take our military to foreign lands and fight wars for political gain.

Agreed....the government shouldnt favor one race over another....ever.

However ,

Our Founding Fathers "Ethnicity" had nothing to do with the greatness of this country then or now.....nor did it have anything to do with the greatness of the Constitution.

Yes, they are getting brushed aside, DD, and believe it or not I feel your pain.

I am informed that now there is a significant push by so-called conservatives demanding that STEEL step down because he offended the Rushwads.

Holy Shamolies! Are these people for real?

The first time I ever heard Rush, he started out his program with "I'll tell you what the news is, and what to think about it". My immediate reaction was, "You, and whose army?". But I listened to the rest of his rant. I have listened, occasionly, over the years. The man is an ignorant imbecile, and a purposeful liar.

Unfortunately, they surely are.

sounds more like you are describing yourself

you clearly didn't get the sarcasm and are likely incapable of it

I'm glad to see there are some conservatives who realize Rush is an empty bag of BS. Curious that a person who makes millions labels and criticizes a package that helps Americans in need. It is amazing how much these times duplicate the GD, FDR had his Rush too. Wackos come in all shapes and sizes.

"Somebody Must be Blamed": Father Coughlin Speaks to the Nation

I just want to let you know that package is theft.....theft from my children...and my childrens children. Just FYI

And your smiling Obama Family Avatar made me throw up in my mouth a little bit while I read your post about helping families in need.

And the amazing thing that this obviously very young girl is being hypocritical about is that the Republicans are always questioning Democrats patriotism and this girl along with ignorant ass Rush want Obama to fail. True patriotism

Ah shucks, your sexy avatar is making me horny for a nutcase. ;) Oh well.

Rush and another Rush of bygone times.
Rush, Newspeak and Fascism: An exegesis: I: Projecting Fascism

And I was going to change my avatar now I need to keep it. LOL

I find it very strange that many Republicans think that becoming a conservative rump is a good political strategy. Driving people out of the party and moving the party away from where the majority of voters sit is like the Coca-Cola company thinking that it is a wise business move to undertake a business strategy that reduces the sales of Coke.

Steele's comments that Rush was being "ugly" are, I think, dead on. I used to support the Republican Party almost exclusively and that is what I hear from the party today.

I listened to an interview with David Frum, with whom I generally agree with. The Republican Party is a poisoned brand, doesn't offer any fresh ideas and whose veneer is one of anger and exclusion. That must change if the party is to regain power at the national level.

Goddamned right. Just ditto everything that ol' Limpbaugh suggests. 70 Dem Senators in 2010. At least 30 more Dem Representatives.

You people gave us two failed wars. You created the Second Great Republican Depression. You let a madman kill 3000 Americans on American soil, and then let Bin Laden remain alive for over seven years, demonstrating that you can indeed strike America a grevious blow, and get away with it. Yessirreee, you have such a good record!

Notice how this leftist runs from the point and returns to Big Fallacious Momma, clinging to her ad populum skirt.

Then she projects that the Leftist PC policy initiated by the Clinton regime which provided the means by which the US became vulnerable to 9-11 is a function of Conservative Policy.

The cool part here is that in a way she's right. We did not stop the left, we tolerated their policy and through that tolerance allowed them to govern as they would...

Perhaps we need to start considering how WE, The Americans will inevitably be held responsible for the failure of America... through our failure to let America become infected by these addle minded subversives.

Of course, we should also realize that should we opt to remove leftists from our culture, they will immediately go to work labeling us extremists... which means that only fools and children lend credence to leftists; and we need to ask if we're fools or children?

Well sure... what the GOP needs to do is to FOLLOW THE MAJORITY.

Said in the highest traditions of LOSERS... EVERYWHERE!

"What improves the circumstances of the greater part can never be regarded as an inconveniency to the whole. No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable." The Wealth of Nations, Adam Smith

ROFLMNAO... I adore the out of context semi-quotes of notable historic figures...

Why it's almost as if Adam Smith were advocating for Socialism... Because "EVERYONE KNOWS" that only Socialism will solve misery and poverty...

If this imbecile had actually read The Wealth of Nations, she'd know that the quote came from the midst of a larger point which spoke to the FREEDOM TO PURSUE ONE'S ASPIRATIONS... Decidedly NOT wealth redistribution to subsidize the miserably impoverished, which by its very nature can only ensure their poverty and solidify their misery.

"It is but equity, besides, that they who feed, clothe, and lodge the whole body of the people, should have such a share of the produce of their own labour as to be themselves tolerably well fed, clothed, and lodged.”

Notice how Smith speaks to the means of the people to pursue and enjoy the product of their own labor so as to cast off the bonds of misery... you see he understood that misery if a function of hopelessness... And nothing in the modern world solidifies hopelessness more so than does Socialism... As socialism says: 'The poor can't do for themselves, they're miserable, so we must do for them...' Such tomes as that of President Hussein droning on about how we can no longer expect the value of our homes to increase in value every year... and that because of thise, we have to spend the national treasury into certain bankruptcy.

Oh MY! Woe is us... 'send us money which someone else earned so we won't be miserable and poor!'
