Reagan was a tough guy, he exercised a lot and kept himself in shape. At this stage in the election cycle Hillary is 2 months older than Reagan was, Sanders is three years. Neither Hillary nor Sanders are as in good physical shape as Reagan was. Hillary is overweight, but not grossly so. Sanders just looks like an old geezer.

Reagan had alzheimers. It is a degenerative disease that can be kept in check, but it goes faster as you age. It also goes faster if you are in poor physical shape. Being in good physical shape slows down the progress of the disease.

We don't know who is going to get it. It seem to run in families, but people these days are living lots longer than their parents. We are just finding out who is susceptible.

So we don't know if Hillary or Bernie are susceptible. We know Hillary has memory issues. in the whitewater investigation she had sever memory loss problems in her low 50's. Every question the investigators asked her she claimed she didn't remember. Memory loss problems are an early sign of the disease, which only gets worse as you age. In the whitewater case it could be perjury or early onset alzheimers. Or a combination of problems.

Reagan was a very heathy but elderly man. He managed to keep the disease at bay. We have two candidates who are older than him, and they are way sicker. We have to think of the problems associated with geratic disease.

Hillary also has had a stroke. They call it blood clot on the brain but that IS what a stroke is. A blood clot on the brain. Given her lower body swelling it MAY be a sign of CHF because of her lack of movement. In general she just is NOT healthy.

She does look like she is ready for another one. Overweight, no exercise. All three of them look like they are ready for the knacker's wagon.

Funny how the Right never worried about old geezers for President until now.

Reagan was able to keep the problem away because he was healthy and exercised., we didn't know much about geriatric presidents until Reagan.
Mrs Clinton is older than Reagan was, has had a mild stroke already, and is not all that healthy and has memory issues going back 20 years. She has lots of issues that Reagan never had.

I don't remember any of these concerns being raised by republicans when they nominated a guy who was older than reagan was in 2008.

You see liberals opened our eyes about Mc Cain and age. Now you should stay true also since liberals were so worried about age in 2008, but not worried about it now. Can I say hypocrite?

Laughing.....oh, obviously. You've never had a problem with a candidate that old. But now.....when its a democrat, suddenly you have a problem?

Seems awfully convenient. Almost like an act of flagrant hypocrisy.

McCain, Like Reagan, keeps himself in shape. I think he should retire. I thought so 8 years ago, but most Republicans disagreed with me.

I don't know that her lower body shape is due to swelling, she's pear-shaped and carries her excess weight in her lower half. Michelle Obama is shaped the same way (her height helps offset it some). She's always look liked that which is why she always wears pantsuits or long caftan things. My husband's sisters all are shaped much like hillary ... cankle-like and all.

I've thought she wasn't in the best of health ever since she had her stroke. Nothing specific .. just a feeling.

Clinton, Sanders, Biden, McCain, Trump ... all too old to be potus.

I had a problem with him. So did a majority of Americans. That is why he did so badly. The electorate remembered this problem.

No, it was democrats that were worried about age, and all of a sudden you aren't. Is there anything consistent about a liberal? Or you just wake up everyday to see how you should think?

At this stage, Reagan didn't show any memory issues. He was in great shape mentally and physically. Mrs Clinton shows early onset of Alsheimers going way back. Even at age 77 he was in very good shape. George Burns and Bob Hope were both in great shape at age 100. We have to go with their state of health now. At 68, Mrs Clinton shows signs of Alzheimers. At 77, Regan had a very very mild case
