Alabama attorney general says he has right to prosecute people who facilitate travel for out-of-state abortions

Um, we actually did not have sex before marriage, but plenty since then in my 35 of marriage, but thanks for falsely surmising.

But the way you teach people to act morally is by teaching them Catholic moral principles in the schools from an early grade. Teach them not that sex outside marriage is wrong buy morally WHY. You also do it by getting the government to stop rewarding cohabitating couples financially.

To me, it's amazing the simplest solution to 90% of the world's problems is met by such opposition by the irreligious left.
Catholic moral principles? Like...covering up for pedo priests?

I read an article in a Liberal magazine and this lady takes women over to other states for abortions. She tells them if she gets caught then they need to leave the area. It sounds like she can be arrested for what she is doing? I do not know the complete abortion laws or consequences.

The party of small government strikes again. Persecuting people who facilitate women's freedom of travel is truly the best plan!

Alabama attorney general says he has right to prosecute people who facilitate travel for out-of-state abortions
Story by By Andy Rose, CNN • 10h

Alabama’s Republican attorney general said in a court filing that he has the right to prosecute people who make travel arrangements for pregnant women to have out-of-state abortions.

In a court filing Monday, attorneys for Attorney General Steve Marshall wrote that providing transportation for women in Alabama to leave the state to get an abortion could amount to a “criminal conspiracy.”

The court filing comes in response to lawsuits against Marshall that was filed in July from two women’s health centers and Yellowhammer Fund, an organization which says it provides “financial and practical support for those who are pregnant and require assistance.” The plaintiffs argue that Marshall violated their constitutional rights by publicly stating that organizations which help pregnant women in Alabama get an abortion out of state could be criminally investigated.
Republicans: Killing their party one Taliban-like action at a time.

The state cannot interfere with interstate mail. The state cannot intercept mail. The feds can, but not the state.

The mail can't violate state law, which in of itself is a federal violation.

Again, look at those TV merch commercials that say you can't order if you are a in a certain state.

You catch thr minors in the location then track backwards. How are you go to track the women who had abortions there pardner? What Gideon like idea is on your head?

Like you track anything else across State lines. And they want to go after the facilitators more than the minors.

This sounds like when one state had segregation laws, to enforce them they could stop blacks (or their facilitators) from traveling to another state that didn't practice segregation.

Absolutely true. But the state can enforce their laws AFTER the person receives the mail.

The question is can the State enforce the law on someone OUTSIDE the State, and in that case it's the feds who have to enforce the law saying you can't mail something to someone where said thing is illegal.
