I've discovered a new use for the air fryer.

A friend of mine drove down to Florida from New York last week for my birthday celebration on Friday.

She brought with her two dozen bagels and bialys from Bagel Chalet in Commack, Long Island with her.

Into the freezer they go.

Want to enjoy a fresh New York bagel? Put the frozen bagel (an everything bagel in this case) into the air fryer at 360° for about five minutes. Take it out and let it cool on a plate. Cut it in half and adorn the aforementioned bagel with your condiment of choice.

I like plain and everything bagels, not toasted, with butter. Well, lemme' tol' ya', if I'd not pulled the bagel out of the freezer myself, I'd have bet the farm that it had been baked only an hour before. It "refreshes" the bagel that well.

I'm assuming it would work with commercially sold bagels (Sara Lee, Thomas', etc), as well. But with a bagel shop bagel the results are unreal...
