Adolf, meaning "noble wolf", was once a popular name among in some European countries. Since Adolf Hitler's actions, no one wants to name their son Adolf. Why haven't the actions of Joseph Stalin killed the name Joseph? Karl Marx didn't kill the name Karl. Ted Bundy didn't kill the name Ted. Ivan the Terrible didn't kill the name Ivan. Why does it seem that Adolf Hitler is the only person in history who's actions were so despicable that his first name was forever tarnished to the point where naming your son Adolf means you embrace his ideology? Does naming your son Joseph or Karl mean you're a Communist?
