Here's some background stuff I didn't know about Tim for anyone for might care to take a look. I knew Tim because I worked in a small (now defunct) law firm where he was a partner. What I do know is that he's been being groomed for decades to (ultimately) have the position of President of the United States. (It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he's not hoping Hillary will suffer a brain aneurism or heart attack if it will clear the way for him - oh, and as a Virginia resident at the time Kaine was Governor I would strongly suggest that everyone hang on to their wallets). His wife Ann is a daughter of former Virgina Governor Linwood Holton. She is also a lawyer and at one time a Judge (I believe in the Juvenile Court). She was appointed Secretary of Education by current Virginia Governor Terry McCauliff ... surely everyone knows the Clinton/McCauliff connection.

Tim Kaine- pretty interesting guy

Timothy Michael "Tim" Kaine (born February 26, 1958) is an American attorney and politician serving as the junior United States Senator from Virginia. A Democrat, Kaine was elected to the Senate in 2012 and is the nominee of his party for Vice President of the United States in the 2016 election.

Born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Kaine grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, graduated from the University of Missouri, and earned a law degree from Harvard Law School before entering private practice and becoming a lecturer at the University of Richmond School of Law. He was first elected to public office in 1994, when he won a seat on the Richmond, Virginia, City Council. He was then elected mayor of Richmond in 1998, serving in that position until being elected Lieutenant Governor of Virginia in 2001. Kaine was elected governor of Virginia in 2005, serving from 2006 to 2010. He was chairman of the Democratic National Committee from 2009 to 2011.

He is the eldest of three sons[1][2] born to Mary Kathleen (née Burns), a home economics teacher, and Albert Alexander Kaine, Jr., a welder and the owner of a small iron-working shop.

Kaine received his B.A. in economics from the University of Missouri in 1979, completing his degree in three years and graduating summa cum laude.[1][2] He was a Coro Foundation fellow in Kansas City in 1978.[9] He entered Harvard Law School in 1979, interrupting his law studies after his first year to work in Honduras[10][11][a] for nine months from 1980 to 1981, helping Jesuit missionaries who ran a Catholic school in El Progreso.[7][14] While running a vocational center that taught carpentry and welding, he also helped increase the school's enrollment by recruiting local villagers.[2] Kaine is fluent in Spanish as a result of his year in Honduras.[14]

In May 1994, Kaine was elected to the city council of the independent city of Richmond,[16] from the City's 2nd District.[20][21] He defeated incumbent city councilman Benjamin P.A. Warthen[8] by 97 votes.[22] Kaine served four terms on the council, the latter two as mayor.[16][23]

So has been a lawyer, a city council member, a mayor, Lt Governor, Governor and U.S. Senator.

Based upon his experience he certainly is qualified.

He certainly is qualified as a member of the establishment and a career politician that has screwed everything up.

Clearly if you want someone who knows how government works, how to work with a legislature, with the Senate, how to manage an executive office, how city governments work- then Kaine certainly is not your man.

Certainly he will not be going into office with no clue as to how to get things done.

Kind of like what a CEO of a large corporation does don't you think.
