Did flashy reporting go too far when it stirred up hysteria over a common beef product?
By Eliana Johnson

Now, I know I'll take heat for posting this as being biased against what I see to be Lame Street Media. But, read the piece for yourself @ ABC?s Slime-Time News | National Review Online

Do the producers think of the possible consequences?

In the wake of the broadcasts, Beef Products, Inc. (BPI), the country’s main producer of lean finely textured beef, was forced to shutter three of its four factories and to lay off over 650 employees. It has now filed suit against ABC, alleging that the network libeled and defamed the product.

More fallout from Woodward and Bernstein, and Ralph Nader.

They need to change the names of Journalism Schools to Activism Schools. And some media needs a monetary ass raping like never seen.

Another hit piece by media who over hyped "dangers". Sheesh.

Diane Sawyer pulled another fast one with her children and guns report. Her stats from Yale have been busted wide open by comparisons to CDC data.

ETA: the study she used from Yale based their statistics on the death and injuries by guns on children from the ages of 20 and under.

I mean bite me. 20 year old child?

CDC basis their stats on 0 to 14.
