Abbas blocks reconciliation

Hamas in Gaza is going to use this complaint about the PA to prevent elections from taking place again in violation of he constitution. Haniyeh and Zahar should be arrested for treason.

The complaint is valid. How can they hold honest elections when Abbas arrests candidates?

And besides, Abbas illegally changed the election laws to eliminate his opponents. Changing the law is the function of the legislative not the executive.

So much for the constitution or for any nonsense about democracy in the territories. I think we all knew that if Hamas ever came to power, they would never risk losing.

So much for the constitution or for any nonsense about democracy in the territories.

Abbas has really destroyed the constitution in Palestine.

Abbas says Hamas blocks the talks and Hamas denies blocking the talks with the propaganda arm (OP, et al) blaming Abbas for their blocking. Yeah, that's the way to look for Western peace with Israel Hamas....

Other demands that emerged in Cairo reportedly included naming a Gaza-based deputy to Abbas and making his appointment as prime minister conditional on a vote of confidence in the parliament.

That is a constitutional requirement.
-------
Abbas knew beforehand that Fayyad was not acceptable and for good reason. So Abbas insists on Fayyed.

The PA security apparatuses continued to arrest and summon activists in the West Bank. Three were arrested in Ramallah, Bethlehem and Nablus and a fourth was summoned in Tulkarem.
Did hamas et al thieves seriously think fatah thieves would share the pastures?

WEST BANK, (PIC)-- Hamas movement issued a statement in the West Bank charging that Palestinian Authority’s security agencies did not stop their arrest campaigns in lines of Hamas supporters.

Hamas said in a statement on Monday that those agencies detained a Palestinian student in Najah University in Nablus, adding that Walid Shaqu was an ex-prisoner. It said that another student in the city called Firas Akkub was also detained by those agencies.

Hamas said that PA security in Tulkarem arrested a third student also from Nablus on Monday, who is a member of the students’ council in Palestine Polytechnic “Khadouri”, in Tulkarem city.

It said that the 22-year-old student Muthana Eshtiwe was summoned more than once by those security agencies but he refused to respond, noting that the PA security men beat up Eshtiwe after arresting him in front of the university.

Hamas: Political detention in West Bank still rampant

PIC-- Hamas's information office issued its monthly report documenting the breaches of the PA in Ramallah. The report confirmed that the PA security services carried out an arrest campaign against the supporters and cadres of Hamas, where they arrested 40 citizens during May, most of them are liberated detainees, academics, university students, and activists in solidarity with striking prisoners.

The report revealed the violations and practices of Oslo group in West Bank where the PA security services launched numerous summons and raids in several towns and cities of the West Bank. The detainees in PA prisons have been exposed to psychological and physical torture, including Musab Bani Fadel and Rafat Youssef Shallaldah who were subjected to severe torture.

Report: PA authority arrest 40 Hamas supporters during May

So that is why Abbas is still arresting political opponents in the West Bank.

No, that's why Haniyeh and Zahar are trying to cover up their corruption by complaining about the PA arresting Hamas terrorists.

Hamas is a constitutionally protected political party that has broken no law.

Hamas is an internationally recognized gang of terrorist thugs that you defend for one reason and one reason only ... they promote and actively promulgate the murder of Jews and represent the rejectionism that has doomed generations of "Palestinians" to hopeless, hapless lives.
Nice work, Princess, ya jackazz.

All third grade name calling by foreigners aside, Hamas is a constitutionally protected political party and is the majority party in the legal, elected Palestinian government.

Abbas, on the other hand, left the government in June of 2007 and his official term in office expired on Jan. 9, 2009. Neither Salam Fayyad (appointed by ex-president Abbas) nor any of his cabinet have been approve by parliament as required by their constitution. Their constitution states that they cannot take office without a vote of confidence by the legislature.

However, the lying propagandists will say that Abbas is the president and Salam Fayyad is the prime minister.

Once more for the terminally dense Tinhead:

Bullcrap, only a handful of governments think that. It is just a political opinion.

Let's see ... the US, the 27 member state European Union, Canada, Israel, and Japan all consider your comrades to be nothing more than a gang of terror-thugs.

So a few countries like to call names for propaganda purposes. What is your point?

Obviously nothing you can understand. You clearly are every bit as dense as you pretend and perhaps even more so.

Like Japan, for example, has never been attacked by Hamas and probably never will.

Somebody must have given them a sales pitch to give such designation. Who could have that been?

One need not have been attacked by Hamas to judge their actions terrorist. That's you being the obtuse little girl again. Perhaps the Japanese, like most Western gov'ts, just see Hamas, by their actions, to be nothing more than a gang of terror-rat thugs.
I don't expect you to see it.

When was the last time Hamas attacked anyone outside their borders. None of those countries are threatened by Hamas. Why should they be called terrorists when they are a threat to nobody.
